I love Bethel. I find it sad that people take snips of video or audio of someone out of context or even someone not related to Bethel and twist it into a falsehood that people believe without bothering to listen to the entire thing in context or research who the person is. Not too long ago I heard a pastor in a sermon, a pastor of a church my friend goes to. He started to badmouth Bethel. It was such a turn off to me. He talked about a woman pastor at Bethel that had a wizard’s staff. Well just so happens I knew exactly what he was talking about and this was not a Bethel pastor, it was another pastor that was speaking there when Bethel convened a group of church leaders in California to talk about what was going on with the George Floyd stuff. And she was from another church. She had never been to Bethel before that. Yet this has gone viral around the Internet making think people think that Bethel is into some sort of sorcery. Anyways there were several other examples he used. So I decided to email this pastor and send him the entire video and evidence related to each thing he was talking about. This was several months ago. And my friend tells me he has not mentioned Bethel since. Bethel used to be one of his favorite places to pick on. Now I understand what President Trump has had to put up with. This has happened to him relentlessly for five years. Stuff is taken out of context and he is made out to be something he is not. But people refused to research any further. They see one meme and they believe it. I have always respected the Bethel pastors so much for not speaking badly about other pastors or people who slander them. They do what is biblical and wise. I don’t know how people can trash on this wonderful place.
This is absolutely dead on! And it breaks my heart as well. Why do people who profess Jesus as Lord, come and attack like that? It does not help the body of Christ and we need each other more than ever!!!
Jesus warned not to go around trying to uproot the tares because it will inadvertently uproot the wheat. Now we have people ignoring Jesus, and going around as tare hunters deciding who the tares are and destroying the faith of the wheat.
