The returning projectiles would deal 100% damage instead of 40% damage - so with nimis, you actually get 2.5x more damage on return, + the extra gem link as you mentioned. I purchased nimis last night and yes, it gets really nutty, insta killing guardians.

Because proccing brand recall procs the arcanist brand which is proccing the skill, the faster you proc brand recall the more spells you're able to create, hence we care about cdr! :)
It does. Returning projectiles can hit the same target again. Eye of Winter also gets a massive damage multiplier for the projectiles fired at the end of its flight. Usually that's well beyond the enemy unless you position yourself at just the right distance. This way the end of flight is on top of you, so if you're standing next to the enemy then many of those projectiles will actually hit them.
This is the most foolish thing I've read in the past 24 hours. It's a commonly found rare chest that you can easily craft yourself, buy a base, use an essence, then Eldritch Orbs, and finish it with bench crafting. 2.5 Divine Orbs is a very realistic price.

Did they change how returning proj support works with eye of winter, my eyes of winter just dissapear they dont return
