  • In the early afternoon of March 13th 2021, the Greenwich (CT) Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire on River Rd Extension in the Cos Cob area of the town. On arrival crews found smoke showing in the rear of the structure and transmitted the working fire. The first due engine (2) was able to contain the fire to a dryer and crews packed up and went into service. Shortly after Greenwich Fire received a call for a brush fire at Pomerance Park, on Orchard Rd just a few blocks away from the first fire. Greenwich Companies located and extinguished an area of brush burning.
