Stupendous performance of all 4movements of this great symphony. James Feddeck equates with Kurt Sanderling, Andre Previn & Seymon Bykov in interpreting the emotions of this symphony.
To rate this symphony one must rate the Adagio & to rate the Adagio one must rate the conduction of the solo melody performance of the clarinet. James Feddick excels in all. He will go far...

If you mean who is the best composer that was born in the 20th century, it would definitely be Dmitri Shostakovich.

To my taste, there are far too many places where the tempo grinds to a halt. Some conductors seem to think that doing this as often as possible will establish them as expressive and communicative conductors. This is the kind of thing that can kill classical music - "Let's all agree that slowing down is the way to find the most meaningful interpretation, and we'll pooh-pooh anyone who likes to keep things moving."
