- We are on to day 3-5 on the Chickady Farm, and boy do we have a lot of work to do!
But first, it's time to make that money honey!
My time management skills leave a lot to be desired, and I'm still the anti-social witch of the west farm. I need friends.

Only been playing Stardew for a week or so and I like how you explain and approach things. You made poor Willy shrink back into his hidey hole, probably pole envy.
thatdenverguy is a really good channel for tips/info and dangerouslyfunny has some good videos, especially on later game info!
The fact you got the dino egg in the first season while it taken me until skull cavern year 2 hurts

I found the Dino egg in my first play through before I knew how rare it was and donated it to the museum☹️ it has never happened again 😁

I've been finding them a lot more frequently lately; I think they upped the chances of finding them in 1.4
The earliest I've gotten it is day Spring 9th.

I will say that I sometime find more spring onions closer to the sewer as a second patch. So I always check.

I love Harvest Moon series I enjoy the farming aspect, both planting crops and raising animals for their products. I enjoy spending a few relaxing minutes fishing each day or spending a rainy day in the mines.
I tried to play Harvest Moon: Light of Hope on my laptop, but find using the keys and arrows confusing. I bought the Xbox controller for pc, but found that not all features worked properly.
When I received an ad for Xbox One I talked to their agent. The first question I asked him was if Xbox One is compatible to Steam games. He lied, saying that I can play Steam games on the Xbox One console. When Xbox One console arrived I contacted support again. She introduced me to Stardew Valley.
I am 65 years old and I have a neurological disorder. One of my symptoms is vertigo, visual triggers. Due to serious balance issues I am housebound during winter. Living in Whitecourt, Alberta, Canada our winters seem never ending.
I find playing Stardew Valley challenging. I did manage to conquer fishing using the training rod. I will be amazed if I manage to reel the more active ones though. Mining is very challenging indeed. Unfortunately, I do not like the combat aspect. After 2 years game play I managed to reach Floor 5 and to open the Adventurer’s Guild.
You make combat look easy and it encourages me to continue in my efforts.

OMG, I never realized that crafting wild seeds yields nearly double the sell price for spring forageables. Granted I've rarely crafted/planted wild seeds until recently, but still there's always something new to learn about this game!
Doing the math, it's around double the base quality value to sell the crafted seeds for spring (180 vs 350), summer (210 vs 550), and fall (230 vs 450). Winter is the only one where it's more profitable to sell the actual forageables (380 vs 300). However if you have the Botanist profession it's more profitable to sell the forageables directly as iridium items are worth double the base value. This is the case for all except the Summer Seeds, where the seeds sell for 130 more than the 4 forageables.

They have definitely adjusted the chances of some of the 'rarer' artifacts. Started a new play through and got 2 ancient seeds in my first season, no mods!

I'm currently playing through on the four corners farm. Spent my spring wooing Abigail so I could dance with her. Got her to 4 hearts on the 22. And got married on the 2 of fall
I remember in my first(ish) playthrough one of my first Omni Geode was a Prismatic Shard. I don't even think I had made it to the bottom of the mines or had the desert unlocked.
Here I am day 20 finally have enough for the backpack.

Edit: Had to restart day 3 due to accidentally buying a 2nd bamboo rod when trying to sell fish to Willy. On Switch btw.

I just started my first game during quarantine and watching your play makes me realize how TERRIBLY inefficient I was haha. I missed ALL the spring crops and bundles because I didn't focus on the community center in the beginning. Sigh, so much wasted time and profit. Your game has me really excited to go and start a new one with a more strategic plan. Thanks for the inspiration!

13:07 right here you can use a axe to pick up the tree seeds on the ground there is 4 by your farm land there (3 of 1 type and 1 of a nother)
In my own recent PT, I didn't get a dinosaur egg until the 4th year - the very last artifact!

Is the commentary done in post or live while you play?
I record commentary and notes while I'm playing, and rerecord during editing to give you all a nice clean sound and have commentary during my speed ups. It's mostly due to that my keyboard and mouse are pretty loud right now and I hate having those sounds in my videos.
