Check out our other video on Top Reasons Why People Move to Perth. We did videos on both positive and negative reasons to live in Perth to give an even perspective as nowhere is perfect.
Having grown up in Perth for 30 years and then 20 years up and down the East coast and back for 15 years in Perth again, I can vouch for everything he just said. Except he left out that Perthans have the worlds best acceptance of mediocrity.
more like an 8 carat gold plated cage...I had a house just 400 yards from there...Now is 15 yeras that I live in Thailang...and I didn't come back even for my pension.
Informative with some stories to back them up. We moved from Sydney to Perth. The building process is different which is why we decided on purchasing an existing house rather than build. Quite a few things different WA from NSW but just like any state, you may win in one way, but lose in another. For us, property price and quality was a win, but utilities price is higher. As a healthcare worker, Sydney is the same...and there are more hospitals. With an increasing population density, its only going to get worse in time. This, unfortunately, in an Australia-wide issue.
Perth used to be very cheap until the Gov't opened the floodgates to immigrants. Demand has outstripped supply ever since and the same could be said for every major city in Australia on the coast. The high density infill is ruining some suburbs though creating major parking issues. The lifestyle here is still far better than places like Sydney or Melbourne
By immigrants are you referring to everyone non-aboriginal?? 🤔 Either way, very redundant view. The prices have increased since Covid and since the general increase in fuel and other costs worldwide. It’s not unique to Australia. Perth being an isolated place, makes sense it would cost more than elsewhere. And there’s way more but don’t expect ignorant people like you to understand that!!
Nah, it aint the immigrants over here. Our problem is with all the poxy housing investors from the East states and overseas. They are buying up all out houses and putting them out to rent at exorbitant price.
You never heard of the 10 pound poms in the 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s? That was a flood! So if you're worried about immigrants, now you know how the aborigines feel! Hahaha.
Many Singaporeans migrate and many love to live in Perth. As Singapore homes and cars are the most expensive in the world. I personally love Perth. Everything is so cheap and affordable (Gurunath from Singapore)
Compared to Singapore, Perth would be a lot more affordable. But Perth is still more expensive than other capital cities due to the high freight costs and also the shops here seem to think everyone earns 'mine site' wages.
Totally agree on the fact that inflation is a scam! Problem is ppl are getting used to the high inflation as well and dont mind paying more. Abit of FOMO too!
Hi all Perth is beautiful place. With prices different drinks especially on Sunday down to $7.also if you didn't like it doesn't bad place. it means that you have less experienced of communication. And had different image.. Guy's look at Wa review's
Thanks for your comment. Have you seen our video on Reasons to Move to WA? You should enjoy that one. We did two videos to show the pros and cons of moving to Perth - we didn't just have a one-sided view. We do live in Perth and what was stated is true.
This guy is providing opinions which should be treated as such. Especially when they appear to be lacking any basis in fact. Do your own research and make your decisions accordingly. The current consensus by the rest of Australia seems to be the opposite as the rate of moving from other states to WA is a positive number. Population Change: Net Interstate Migration: Western Australia data is updated quarterly, averaging 556.000 Person from Jun 1981 (Median) to Dec 2023, with 171 observations. The data reached an all-time high of 5,181.000 Person in Dec 2021 and a record low of -3,669.000 Person in Dec 2016. So, it would appear that most people disagree with this guy. Suggest he look elsewhere if he doesn't like what he's seeing.
We've also put up a video on reasons to move to Perth to provide a balanced view. We are commenting as residents of Perth and what we have observed. I don't believe the numbers of people moving to Perth in 2021 of 5,181,000 as this was during the period that WA was locked down and any travel was limited (Covid era).
Actually it's 3 hrs and 15 years behind Sydney. We're not particularly keen on catching up with the crime rate or housing prices of Sydney so we've slowed things down a bit. 😎
I have an objective opinion regarding your view on law enforcement. I am what some would class as "well off" but I come from an impoverished background so I am the epitome of "self made wealth." I still own and drive my first car; a 1972 Ford Escort coupe that I bought for $500 because that's all I could afford. It's a total s#*t box and I love it. I also own a very reputable brand of car that uses a horse as its logo, its obnoxious but I have always wanted to own one (I don't love it nearly as much as my first love, my Escort.) Everytime I drive the horse car, I am pulled over without fail. They've tried to pin me for using my phone whilst driving on numerous occasions (paddle shift gears make that impossible) speeding, once yes, the other 5 times, no. Once I got pulled over for a "random drug and alcohol test" and there happened to be a person not even 500 metres from where they'd pulled me over, kicking the s*#t out of a for sale sign, they then proceeded to urinated on the pavement in front of a primary school. They ignored the damage this individual had caused to private property, and the indecent act they had committed, why? Well, who has the money to pay the fine if they're handed one? (I wasn't btw, but I was given a verbal warning for reasons still unknown) I'm going to sell that car and just stick to driving Betty, the Escort. I have respect for our boys and girls in blue, but it might pay for them to remember where their wages are generated from. HINT: It's not from piss pot, sign kickers.
The boys in blue have also pulled me over a few times for reasons unknown (not speeding or disobeying any road rules), I personally feel respect is something that is earned not automatically given.
Very easy answer as to why we sell natural gas, dairy products, etc. I can’t comment on YT but it makes sense when you understand the agenda behind it. Same reason why there’s issue with hospitals. 😢 Good to hear that those who were flying during the pandemic didn’t get charged. I know you won’t like this comment.
Is it that controversial that you can't comment on YT? In regards to your comment amount flying during the pandemic, I was trying to make the point that the rich got away with flying while everyone else went to jail or given large fines - the justice system here is very unfair.
Countless times we hear - expensive. Expensive is an opinion which Mr Vlogger has 100% of right to have. More informative way to create this video would be cost of xyz in Perth is this in comparision to Sidney where it is this. Other than this, its old man rambling.
Honestly, I've watched dozens of videos and I really don't see the point of this video. There is nothing on this video that isn't the same in every country. For me not very informative 🙄
Lived in Pomona, back of Noosa....heaven.....banana, pawpaw and mango smoothies for breakfast off the backyard trees. Crates of avocados from honesty boxes on roadsides. Cheap as chips calamari. Surfed my brains out. Lived in a classic Queenslander under palm trees...but humidity is crap tho.
For anyone watching this, thinking of coming to Perth, don't worry, most people in Perth arent like this and you will have an amazing experience.

There is something special about Perth, an isolated paradise❤
Yes - Perth is isolated but unfortunately that also makes it expensive.
@@vloggersontheloosethe salaries help balance it out. As someone from London, we make more here and manage to save more than we ever did in London.

Prices have gone up everywhere in the world.

Glad you agree. People get accustomed to paying higher prices and expect it and don't complain.
I had paid $1950 per month for the rent in Inglewood and the other one $1200 per month in Dianella in 2008~2010.
Rents have definitely gone up since then 😎
Everything your saying applies to everywhere in Australia. Perth is the least effected.
It may apply to other areas in Australia but the affect on Perth is still considerable.
Well, i am about to move to Perth because it's the best overall by far to buy and live and work.
That's true. With house prices constantly rising I hope you're able to buy what you want.
