It was between her and Lee Dewyze. Lee was excellent and either one of them would've been deserving winner. But it was kinda predictable that Idol was rallying for a male winner that year. But again, Lee Dewyze was excellent.
She showed up on my Google page today 7/15/2022 & I could kick myself in the butt for missing her performance! I would have voted her to win! I would have chosen many successful artists including Carrie Underwood-this woman deserved to win! What a great performance & phenomenal voice!

Nice voice, but no texture or depth. Unless you can tell the story in the song in such a way that it reaches inside the heart of every member of the audience you are just a nice singer. Nice singer but not a SOLO singer
