Solomon pond mall is always that mall that you hear people go “is that please still around “or when was the last time you went there or “I don’t know if that place is still around” lol people would rather just go to Natick mall these days instead of Solomon pond mall.
Oh yeah. Natick really is the shopping destination for the area. This mall probably won’t be around in five years. I’d bet money on it. This mall is not worth going out of your way for at all lol
That Sarku is realy good .,. Thet do a $12 full plate of meat not just the 1/3-1/3-/13 like most .,. So for 2 fou get the meat and then white rice on the side and its a great meal ..,.
I just read the thumbnail hahaha!! Sorry it took so long to get around to this, I'm REALLY behind. I'm still only halfway through catching up lol. Also, thats not your fault that they made the sign like that, it does look like stop 1 shop lmao. Another fun mall vid, thanks!
Wow ! , this place is slowly circling the drain. I don't see this mall surviving long term. I think it is cool that you are documenting these malls and I enjoy your content. I hope you are feeling better.
Thank you so much! Has a bit of unfortunate events happen in the past few weeks but definitely coming around now. 😊❤️ I think in a few years I’ll be glad I documented these malls. I have a real video camera now and will be going to the Enfield mall (it’s closing soon I hear) and test it out! 😄
I just went to the Solomon Pond mall this past weekend and I have to say, the place was packed! I had to drive around for a bit to find a parking space. I only went to Talbots and Macys, but both stores looked well stocked and were busy. There were a lot of people walking through the mall as well. I haven't seen this kind of activity for a long time.
@ 34:54, the "Walkway to Nowhere" was to be a Jordan Marsh when the mall was built. That store went out of business when this mall was being built, so it's a parking lot on the lower level, and the walkway to a blank wall on the upper. Should've seen the place even a year ago, it was worse, with several more dead stores on the lower level , and the food court had one 4 restaurants to choose from. The "Space Wars" shooting gallery closed, now is a proper arcade. The two WOW setups are still there, and are the same.
Spirit Halloween has become a meme at this point. Orange Julius is the only reason to go to a food court these days. Wow, that game store has major 2005 Gamestop/EB Games vibes to it when they still carried retro games. I also thought it was called Stop 1 Shop.
My guess would be that these malls will all but be gone and replaced by those newer little town looking strips within the next 2-4 years. They will eventually return many years from now, Probably when kids today become grandparents!! Lol Everything has in cycles.
I live about a 5 minute drive from this mall, its slowly dying, theres been a circus setup there a few times, and if you go behind the sears store you will see where everyone goes to practice their "skid recovery skills" I was in there about 3 months ago, theres like nothing there thats worth it for me, its mostly empty store fronts and stores for items I dont buy
29:50 those high chairs are a great spot .,. plugs are right there and sun is nice in fall or winter ., Have had many business lunches right there ,., sit there and meet with customers and talk ., great meet up spot ., to sell off craigslist or stuff
Love these mall videos! You’re the only mall content creator that actually makes me laugh from your commentary 😂
Lol I try for sure!! More mall videos to come!!! 🥰
Not an old mall only built in 1996. Natick and Burlington malls were around in the sixties.

Does anyone remember the name of the old sports store that was in there probably like 1998-2003? They had batting cages inside

It seriously does have 2005 vibes to it. It’s crazy. And yeah, Orange Julius really slaps

I used to work here. Electronics Boutique. Those were the days.
They redid the roads around it but the mall is dead silent now these days. Food court is empty a lot of the good food places had went out of business
I worked at Aladdin’s Castle 20 years ago😂😂😂😂 only thing good in there was the California pizza kitchen
lol no way!!! California pizza kitchen is pretty solid haha
I used to go to this mall very often but I haven't been there for probably 10 years.
