I have recently started using Triangle on a Roll. I like this method when I need multiples of a color combination. If I need just a few, I use the two at a time, but instead of the 7/8 “ bigger, I round up to the full inch then trim down for accuracy. Thank you Kimberly and FQS Team for these very informative tutorials.
I really appreciate the tutorials on the half square trikes as well flying geese. I have a pattern that I am currently working on and for some reason the designer did not indicate to make HST blocks of flying geese block. Instead the pattern has you cut all the fabric in half. However I took your advice on one of your previous videos, and only cut enough fabric to make a couple of blocks but I stopped cutting after the squares I did not cut them diagonally. I realized that that it was HST and flying geese block two of my favorites blocks,. I watched this video and thought yes yes yes !! Thank you so much. The quilt is coming together and it will be gorgeous when completed I have not used the triangle paper, but I would like to try it some day, I would 3-4 would be my favorites many at one time and no waste perfect combination!
I have done #1 and #2. Tip for #2. I keep those scraps together and actually dew THOSE together to turn into something else. I am currently collecting them right now to make a small quilt.
I’ve not tried Triangles on a Roll, but I have used the 8-at-a-time method, and of course 2 and 1 at a time. My favorite that I’ve tried is 8 at a time!
I am a newbie to the triangle paper. I have just purchased 2 sizes and am looking forward to giving them a try this weekend. I have done one & 2 at a time.. thats about it.
I like making 2 at a time, but I always cut the squares a bit bigger and trim down so they will be the exact size. I know it take a little more fabric, but I have tired other methods and I alway come back to this way of making half square triangles. Barb Drummond
@@FatQuarterShopTX thank you 😊 I just printed off the cheat sheets for the triangles and flying geese. Also, did my first try with the 3.5" triangle papers ❤️❤️ now thats amazing!!!
My favorite method is one you didn't mention. I like to cut strips (i.e. 2-1/2" x WOF) then use a triangle ruler and cut triangles (i.e. 2" finished). Sew 1/4" seam, press carefully and you have a perfect HST with no trimming. You also get one more HST out of a strip of fabric.
Than you, Kimberly!

I usually make 2 at a time. Think I’m going to try Triangles On A Roll though. Thanks Kimberly and Fat Quarter Shop for the cheat sheets.
I used triangle on a roll for the first time this year. I love it and I find the ripping the paper off very satisfying. Maybe I’m just a bit strange.
Not strange at all!
I like triangles on a roll, they seem to be the most accurate. Love FQS!!!❤

Triangle paper you made me love that technique ❤
Triangle paper hands down I use consistently and wouldn’t do any other way. Unless it’s one I needed and not often. ❤️ I’m with you girl!
I have done #1 and #2.

I'm very new at this but enjoy all your designs.
I use the 4-at-a-time method usually.

I have done one & 2 at a time.. thats about it.
Thank you I was hunting yesterday for these directions. I like doing two at a time, then I use the strip ruler to trim

Thank you for the great tutorial
Thank you Kimberly. I make four at a time. I have never used the tri-paper to make them but it sure does look interesting .
I either do the 2 at a time method or the Triangles on a Roll method.
I use Triangles on a roll, and two at a time
I love the triangles on a roll and the one after that where you draw your own lines. I love the flying geese papers too.
I have never seen flying geese papers! I will look for those.
Hello Grandma D! You can find them here www.fatquartershop.com/nsearch/?q=flying+geese+foundation+paper
@@FatQuarterShopTX thank you 😊
I just printed off the cheat sheets for the triangles and flying geese.
Also, did my first try with the 3.5" triangle papers ❤️❤️ now thats amazing!!!
Love triangles on a roll!❤
Thank you so much
I am a triangle on a roll convert!
TOAR all the way 🎉💖
I like the eight at a time especially if I have to make many half square triangles in a pattern.
I like 8 at a time and cut down to size, it seems for me to be a faster way to get to piecing ❤️

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤SO SO SO HELPFUL!!!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love the papers ❤
Anytime I can I use the 4 at at time method! I feel like I get more accurate results and all the triangles are uniform and the same. 😊
8 at a time is my fave, but slightly oversized to trim down. Same with 2 at a time.. I would do 3" and trim, never 2 7/8.
The Stronger Together guests were very interesting. Like hearing about their quilting journeys.
Kimberly can you post the prettiest background fabric in your opinion? Thank you.
Hello Vivian! You can find Kimberly's favorites here: www.fatquartershop.com/kimberlys-favorites
Love triangle paper but I have made them without the paper also, depends on how many I need for that project
Triangle paper ❤❤
I like the triangles on a roll for half sq triangles, Do you have an easy way to make half rectangles, I always have trouble with those?
Hello Cheryl! We have a video here that demonstrates how to use our Half Rectangle Trimmer ruclips.net/video/Nh5npSWF5W4/видео.html
Dearest Kimberly, please remind me what model Juki you have. Thank you so much. Judie with Buckleberrie Quilts

@@FatQuarterShopTX thanks! 😍😍
Triangles on a Roll, hands down.
❤ 8-at-a-time, no paper
I prefer the first method of HST
I use Triangles on a roll
I prefer the 2 at a time.
Triangle paper !
Is that the only way to make 4 hst out of a 10” block, is to sew around the block and cut diagonally? I worry about the bias sides.
Hello K! We only showed the methods that we know of but there may be another way.
Triangle paper was my favorite but I'm poor so I draw the lines a lot now
2 at a time. Never used triangle paper. Looks confusing.
Hello Donna! We have a video here that shows how easy it is to use ruclips.net/video/42OjEIgNPUQ/видео.html
I love HST. My favorite way to make them is triangle paper by FQS. I own every size. Love it. 😍❤️🪡🧵
