- Simply longest and most expensive project I've ever made, but hopefully you'll enjoy this 16 minute and 30 second long edit of MAKiT having a mental breakdown

What is happening?: 00:00
We started with water: 01:10
Then we added blue crystals: 04:32
Then we plugged it into the outlet: 05:30
Through this weird mesh: 07:25
And that's supposed to make sulfuric acid?: 11:33
Thanking patreons: 15:33 Наука
8:04 the "gas" it's really a mist of the solution generated by the bubbles exploding
14:10 what's happening there it's that you generated acid in the top layer where's the cathode and some stirring from the anode bubbles. If your cathode does not reach the bottom, the copper sulphate solution stays there and does not react.
Probably that's what happened in the bucket, the upper layer was acid indeed, but all the rest was copper sulphate. Once you electrolyse all the CuSO4 from the upper layer, hydrogen begins to evolve in the cathode and from that moment you are only electrolyzing water.
hope this helps in the part 2!
You could have bought a stearing Kit (the stera bar and that) and púť in on an low settings. Or better would even be to just stear it by yourself after som time. Edit: I forgot that this is low budget series and the guid how to make IT at home.
@@lautaromorales2903 this is part 2
@@No_One_0707 part 3*
@@kekso2205 it's low budget but he bought the platinum anode straight away xd
can't be judged. Platinum goat
my favorite part was when he asked walter white for some blue crystals and then cooked some sulfuric acid
5:09 hey i care about the calculations
Same 😢
Another Makit banger.
You’re wrong, Sulfuric acid!
*pours sulfuric acid from a bucket onto somebody*
At first I thought it was a reupload
That's what the original acid video was supposed to look like
we makin free copper with this one
Coming back a few hours later to re watch it to write a better comment because i liked it so much the first time. I've done some thinking and and believe some of the reason for the result might be do to contamination in the copper sulfate. Depending on where you got it from it might be dirty and require filtration + crystallization to remove dust and iron sulfate contamination. I think it might be worth mentioning that when dissolved in water the ions are free floating, although that's really just a personal thing. I do agree with the user that said that mixing the solution is required due to the top layer being mostly electrolyzed. If i recall correctly, there is a way to calculate the duration for electrolysis to finish using the current and MOLES of solution. Overall i like the video and respect you for putting it out and not scrapping it. It's important to show that not everything theoretical works out as expected in the lab and things not working out perfectly is normal in science. Thanks MAKiT, much love!
This video shows suffering, pain and success 🔥
Ferb, i know what we are going to do today
Since you have extra acid…. Giveaway time!
yayyy great video ❤felt like a mini film more than anything🔥🔥
Great video
ladies and gentlemen, we have hit makit peak
can we get a bucket of ammonia next
Time for a new MAKiT series
"A bucket of {instert a substance which it would be straight up irresponsible to make in a plastic bucket}"
Bucket of chlorophorm! (It can actually be done with pool stuff I think.or was that bromine…. Or both…) but it would be funny to make a bucket of chlorphorm, nilered did it in his garage a couple of years ago and he’s doing pretty good now
@@qand_8589 MAKiNG a bucket of clorophorm leads to having 6.5 M subscribers, and that's just a fact!
that's an epic come back
Yeah science!!
great video mail-it. better music tho.
Yo makit buy me a galaxy watch 7 as a form of charity ❤
NOW DRINK I T
Can I drink it ?
I want drink
yes and it's even better with some tequila and lemon
The Animation is really well made
that ai background music hits hard🔥🔥
I just need to know what the music you chose is, it goes so well with the feel of the video its amazing. Your editing style is insane and i love it
This is actually the first video for which I AI generated the music based on the MAKiT theme (that's the chord progression you hear throughout the video)
I'm really glad you like it
where can i find the MAKiT theme?
This is cool
Just when you got to talking about wth an amp is it was cut D:
this is the AI music? i didnt even notice until 6 minutes in D:
more delicious beverages 🤤😋
Cool
i have a question why it take so so so long and still not pure sulfuric acid is it because is not pure water or is not pure copper sulfate or maybe both i don't really understand because the math say it will work but in reality it didn't so can you explain to us ?
The biggest issue with this impurity is that... I honestly don't know what it is.
It's probably just some random low concentration chemicals in the water concentrated to the point where it's no longer low concentration. That'd be my guess but honestly... I have no idea
it looks tasty😋
not the ai music💀💀💀
what if the problem was using the AC power, it switches the electrode polarities, so it may take longer and each half cycle reverses the work done by the other electrode but since the other one has higher surface area it didn't reverse it as much hence it took longer
Atleast that's what I think
The blinking diode was on a DC 3A 12V powersupply, if I used AC it wouldn't really be electrolisys
yeah didn't consider that, it's the little details huh
2:36 sad :
I WATCHED A MAKIT VIDEO
W
Try try cry try
yummy
Nile red comment when
H2so4 makes me edge
Is H2so4 a synonym of makit by chance?
I care about the calculations :(
but i do care for the calculations :(
I’m sorry makit but the music really throws me off… I know you’re probably like oh who cares about that but knowing that the music was made by AI really makes me feel…. Not uneasy but like I can’t find the word, not great. There’s gotta be a better way right? But other than that great video!
Is "existential dread" the phrase you're looking for?
1. AI music is trash(It doesn't has feelings).
2. Why you cut out the calculation part.
3. Your voice is echoing at 9:06
4. Whatever this is 9:34
5. 10:22 MAKiT at his mad scientist phase
6. You did very well
7. 15:47 was that black coffee
8. Overall 7/10
