  • 50 bird sporting at Upwood Hall, Yorkshire, England with the new Shotkam Gen4.
A well run and very welcoming local shoot, my first visit but not my last!
5 stands, 5 sim pairs on each stand - happy to come away with a solid 43/50.
I didn't check the Shotkam before shooting though and the wider field of view with the higher resolution caught me out hence the view of the extended Optima HP choke ha ha.
    Enjoy and happy shooting everyone!

Nice round. Shotkam is a great tool for objectively reviewing a round of clays and looking for bad trends. Every time I think I shot a great round, I review my videos and see lots of room for improvement. And yep, sometimes I am over the place and still broke the bird. The camera, let’s you know you got lucky and you still got more work to do. Cheers!

They are a great tool, amazing how different your movement can be to what you perceived.

Agree - However, still like the sport. What are you using, Gun, Cart, Chokes?

To avoid the bottom barrel appearing in the picture you should mount the camera a little closer to the end of the barrel and then do a 'Test Record' to actually confirm it's really out of view (as the 'Calibrate' function doesn't always show the bottom barrel when the Record view does 'see' the bottom barrel).

dude you are all over the place. Sometimes behind the bird so you have to shoot swing through, sometimes in line and you shoot pull away ... also you seem to be searching for the birds line all the time.

Thanks for taking the time to comment mate, I appreciated the feedback. I certainly agree with you on the first stand after that i would say it settles down.
This was a 50 bird practice round, I default to swing through but trying to work on shooting more pull away.
This is one of the reasons I like the Shotkam, great for showing your inconsistencies.

@@MSJOnline1 And this is why we use a tool like shotkam to help us to help ourselves learn and correct defects. Great comments, proves the usefulness of the tool. Without this aid, you may not know realise your style needs improving. I too am trying to use pull away more than swing through, my shotkam helps me review my progress.
