Every house I visited, even if the hosts were elderly and didn’t have much, I huge spread was prepared for me and the warmest of welcomes. Like you I found myself there. Can’t wait to getback!

Before the war most of Finland's population were saying we should not join, but fear mongering made many change their minds about it. Since the war started there has also been some very disgusting behavior from finns towards russians who live in Finland.

In the 1990's my wife was invited onto a talk show about Russians married to foreign nationals. The VHS has long been mislaid, but I remember it. I've now been married for more than 25 years 🙂

Before the war most of Finland's population were saying we should not join, but fear mongering made many change their minds about it. Since the war started there has also been some very disgusting behavior from finns towards russians who live in Finland.
