great to see this. I go there with my children spinning and exploring had a bass there early this year off the point. Keep dreaming about getting a kayak. Seeing this has settled my mind. I'm getting a double then the kids can take turns coming out with me. cheers.
Thanks very much I’m glad you’re enjoying the content. It was a cracking day weather wise as well. I’m always excited to get out and catch a few. Tight lines mate 👍🎣
You certainly found a good spot there Chris, especially so late in the season. Like you say, if the water temp stays up the fish hang around. Cracking Pollock. Always good on the lighter set-up. All the best bud and thanks as usual for taking us along. Tight Lines.
Yes I don’t normally fish that spot so it’s another mark for the list. Some nice chunks in the mix later on as well. Glad you’re enjoying the content, tight lines mate 👍🎣
Well done bud..Nice days fishing especially at the end of the video u got into some bigger pollock well done must have made the trip more worthwhile..Well done and tight lines 👍
That's one of them days that you don't want to end. Even when you know it's time to go......"one last cast then I'll get going!" Laughed me head off when you hooked that last one. Excellent video, keep 'em coming.
Looked like a cracking day, with some good fish. Just purchased a kayak myself, hoping delivery will be tomorrow. Chomping at the bit to get out, albeit at the wrong end of the year for it. Keep up the good work, nice to see the channel growing.
Chris, that was another great video. Made me laugh all the way, especially with your Pollack juggling skills. Well done with topping the 4K. Keep em coming and tight lines, Rob🎣😉
Lucky indeed Geoff, even with my limited knowledge of the area I’ve had some cracking days there. If you’ve any suggestions of other launches or marks around and abouts they’d be gratefully received. Tight lines mate 👍🎣
Well Chris , yet another great video, and what a superb fishing trip it was, great stamp of golden pollack! Well done and also well done for 4000+ subs, you deserve it. Looking forward to your next trip all ready.
Well done for another great video. Cheerful catching and appreciation of the fish, lovely sea and amazing scenery as well as great fish. What's not to like! Best wishes, Kev
Another great video!!! thanks for taking the time to make them for us I know how much work goes into the editing and stuff that alone filming the content
Thanks very much, it was a cracking day and thanks for your nice words, it’s a faff recording separate audio and going through 8 hours of footage and a day or two editing for 25mins but I enjoy the end result and I’m glad you do as well 😊🎣
Thanks very much I’m glad you enjoyed it. I think it would most likely have been my pal the seal. He took a keen interest when the fish started coming in! 👍🎣
Hi mate, so far so good for the sturgeon. Can’t really compare them if I’m honest as the Supernova is so much bigger and heavier than the sturgeon, This one though was great at port Logan and I’m out again in the morning so it’ll get another good run out. 👍🎣
Hi Chris, it’s a bit of a drive for you to get to port Logan and I understand you now have a camper van, I’m curious to learn about the camping situation you use, only if you would share it.
Hi Angus mate, I sometimes stay at Sands of Luce Holliday Park and Sometimes at Ardwell. I also like to park up in the Forrest of Galloway country park and drive down the next day. 👍🎣
Great days fishing Chris with some excellent Pollock, love to hear the drag going. Those bigger fish following one after another, magic. What would you guestimate the best ones weight at.... Tight lines may. Arthur.
Hiya mate, it was a fab day on the water, I don’t normally give a weight because…well the internet! 🤣 but I reckon the biggest was about 6lb. Tight lines matey 👍🎣
Fantastic trip yet again! Can you tell me if you were to recommend a kayak between the sturgeon fx or the supernova, which one would it be and why? Thank you in advance as am looking to buy my first fishing kayak. Cheers!
Hi mate, they’re both very good kayaks and both very stable. The Supernova is quite a bit heavier than the Sturgeon though, so I’d maybe suggest the sturgeon as a first kayak as it’s lighter and easier to car top etc. Hope that helps 👍🎣
Some lovely pollack there buddy. I was only wondering yesterday will there be a new video this week was delighted when you popped up on the channel. Brilliant video Chris
Thanks very much I’m glad you enjoyed it. It’s been a tough year wind wise, especially the last two months but I’m out again tomorrow and hopefully Tuesday fingers crossed 🤞👍🎣
Thanks James, glad you’re enjoying the content. It’s an NRS Chinook OS Fishing. A bit of a mouthful but very good. Regards self righting PFDs aren’t the same as life jackets, They’re made to aid you in rescuing yourself rather than keep you afloat if you’re unconscious etc lifejackets do do that which is why they’re self righting. Hope that helps 👍🎣
@@onthedropfishing Thanks for getting back to me, total novice at this game, but been kayaking for years on and off, maybe see you up in Dumfries some time, happy fishing 👍
Hi chris i stay up queensferry around forth bridges area we have a boat you think any pollock up around the island under the rail bridge very deep water cheers davy
Hi Davy mate, quick look on Navionics and the relief shading looks great around that island. I’d look for the rougher ground around 20-25 metre mark to the east as the island continues under water. Is it an easy launch from Queensferry? 👍🎣
@@onthedropfishing Hi Chris did you make a video of it? I'll be have my boat based down that way once I get time to fix it up. So I'll always be interested in how you get on, especially there. Thank you.
Just subscribed mate. I know that area well . Shore fish there regular. Be interested if you fished near Port William as we have a caravan there . Tight lines.
I spend more time there than Consett these days. Water is shallow mixed ground. Our caravan is at West Barr literally a few yards from the sea. I fish from the shore and last week in between storms the area still threw up good mixed bags.
