My theory about guiding light is similar but different. My theory is that the guiding light made Doors as a place similar to the backrooms, to lock away the entities. But somehow the Player entered and guiding light knows your not supposed to be there, so it guides you to the exit.
i think the figure is like seek where he can decompose himself to his original flesh able to move through the hotel under our feet and we didnt notice i think that explains why theres a flesh puddle where he came from in the door 100 cutscene in my words

Not going to lie this theory is not so bad. BUT i would not be considering this to be the #1 best theory. First of all lets talk about guiding light,
Guiding lights are normally considered angels guiding others to the right paths that cannot interfere with the real world. The only work around is the crucifix, and even so this theory does not have a supported claim that does not confirm that guiding light contained its power within the crucifix. As well that angels are not really considered to have good intentions and the only angels that do not fit into the good intentions catagory are fallen angels and as well as Lucifer. (the angel that was banished by god)
I sadly do not believe this theory.
