Generator winterization or maintenance before storage

After running a generator for any reason, unless it's used every day, you need to do a few things to help store it properly.
Things not included but worth mentioning - after a lot of run time, change the oil. Most people don't.
If I left something out or you do it differently, let me know below! I'm curious to see other people's methods.

Good advise but few listen to common sense anymore
Keep a extra carb , fuel hose and filter plus cut off valve for tank
Most likely you can keep it running thru the power outages which are very common now 😢😢😢
