SpongeBob's actually been good again as of late. From the latter half of season 9 onward, the writing's been funny and the animation's been hilariously amazing. It's probably because Stephen Hillenburg and some old writers returned.

Battle for Bikini Bottom was actually pretty close to brilliant in my opinion. Also, there are a crap-ton of prototypes and beta versions of this game that can be found on the internet, one of them was from a DVD that had "THIS PEN IS SHIT" written on it.
AJ RandomRabbit and the Movie-game and Creature from Krusty Krab were good, too.
I really liked the Movie game, despite some flaws (the ring levels, plus the GameCube version getting stuck on load screens). Creature from the Krusty Krab was okay to me, though some of the levels kinda dragged on. Revenge of the Flying Dutchman, while not even that good, I still somewhat like due to the charm it has. Also used to play Lights, Camera, Pants which was really good and surprisingly original for a party game (as in, it didn't directly copy Mario Party as it had a story instead of a board). Truth or Square, while based on a pretty bad episode, was quite good as well. Robotic Revenge and HeroPants were lame to me, though.

I didn't had the luck to play all games. Just Supersponge, Battle for Bikini Bottom and the Movie game. Oh and I picked up a copy of the return of flying Dutchman... but it was too scratched to be playable... sigh...
Supersponge was ok for me. Nothing special but not as bad as Caddy thought it is... Battle for Bikini Bottom was EPIC! I've never seen so much love and so much detail put in a licensed game. Heavy Iron Studios were clearly huge Fans of the Show.
The Movie-Game was fine. The Problem was, that they had to follow the plot of the movie and couldn't write their own story... and the plot of the movie was not as good as you might think... but yeah.
Oh the Ring-challenges were sometimes really hard but the time-challenges were RUTHLESS. Sometimes the movie game was really really hard for me as a kid. But it was still a pretty good game.
You don't see so much care for a license so often (except i.e. Dragon ball Fighterz or South Park Stick of truth).
Yeah. Also, the PS2 version of Revenge of the Flying Dutchman had a nasty bug where the game would randomly freeze during loading and saving. This was fixed in the GameCube version, though the damage had already been done and the bug was so bad that it caused the developers of the game to shut down.

The two I had for PS2 growing up were big parts of my childhood and I still love them to death, "Battle for Bikini Bottom" and "Lights, Camera, Pants!". The other great combo games were the Nicktoons Unite games

I got rather far... Didn't fully complete it I agree SpongeBob's movements are very flimsy seriously it's like SpongeBob is strapped with some invincible Anvil when you're trying to relatively move, jump, or do some action, yes the sound effects can be everywhere and a tad peeving but despite these issues much further then what Caddy went through.

I remember when I was 8 years old I finished this game in one set 3 times, then the CD broke and i cried as if I lost my whole family.

I still own this game. It's not nearly as good as Battle for Bikini Bottom or the Movie game, but at the time I iiked it.
In fact, I beat this game 100%. And let me tell you - IT. IS. HARD.
You see the spatulas he collects? There's exactly 100 in each level, but if Spongebob takes ANY DAMAGE AT ALL, in Sonic style he loses every one, though if you're quick you can recollect them.
The only way to 100% a level is to find and collect ALL 100 spatulas and NOT TAKE ANY DAMAGE AT ALL. (unless you're fast enough to recollect the spatulas, provided one single one doesn't go FALLING DOWN A BOTTOMLESS PIT)
That sounds... fun? Let me guess, no reward for 100% either?

And well...getting spatulas unlock bonus stages. Collect tokens in them to buy extra stuff for Patrick's party, like streamers and balloons. Depending on what you've bought, the ending scene will have those items in it, but no I don't recall there being anything special for 100%.
