    Hi Jan! I know why your Manjula got so many shoots...Manjula pothos are absolute beasts! At least in my experience. I have one and I think it's the most vigorous plant I have ever owned. I have just made preparations to put a couple of cuttings on a moss pole. Just waiting for a warm day. I really like how you have categorized "care" and "conditions". I have never heard it explained that way (Not even in college where I studied plant science!) The one thing that care and conditions have in common, is that each care, and each condition is a limiting factor. If any one of these factors is lacking, it can limit growth and vigor. Most likely it is rare for a houseplant to have all care and conditions met at all times, conditions especially can sometimes be out of our control. But with a little trial and error, and perseverance, we can give care and conditions sufficient for a beautiful plant. Thanks for pointing that out!

    • @sydneyplantguy
      @sydneyplantguy  Год назад +1

      Well said !! Another thing conditions & care has in common is consistency - no point in providing your plants with great conditions or good care for a short time only. If you want your plants to thrive continuously you need to continuous provide good conditions & care for them :) definitely not a set & forget hobby :)

    Jan, I think this is the best documentation of PROCESS you have done to date. I appreciate you showing what's happened to the plant 2.5 months later, with details on where individual leaves were and where they are now; as opposed to many of your videos, which I would characterize as BEFORE and AFTER, since they show less details of what's happened to the plant and the time frame is wider, say 6 months to 1 year.
    PROCESS videos are the difference between you being an inspiration for our own indoor gardens, and you teaching us exactly how to achieve the best results. ❤
    Congratulations on your greenhouse and on your growth as a content creator. Please keep the PROCESS videos coming. I know it's time consuming, but I'd suggest taking the extra time to include more and clearer closeups of the stems where you're getting changes in growth. i.e: when the leaves you pointed out were getting smaller, and also in the 4 new growth points.

I know you feel you've already said it all but some of us (me) are watching this like we're lost in the car and have to turn the radio off! 😅 I finally got the nerve to plant my manjula on a pole last week and it rotted and had a fit so fast I didn't even get a chance to water a dry pole !

    Wow to your Manjula, I recently bought a Manjula after watching one of your videos - one of the most difficult plants. When I re-potted I discovered it was actually three cutting 2 of which immediately rotted, I am now trying to repropogate from the one remained survived leaf. Pothos are usually so easy.

My mind definitely needs some help to calm, like I imagine more and more people do with all the screaming distractions :) Will keep Aura in mind for when I'm done at the veterinarian (always fun when the bills keep coming, luckily there is no big threat of health declining right now so only moderate stress).. What a surprisingly successful chop and extend! Im curious, would you consider moss poles care or conditions? When repotting my newly aquired Manjula Pothos, I put a couple rooted stems on a moss pole and the rest in its new pot with your awesome aroid mix recipe. Both plants got similar indoor conditions, but in the 6 months of growth now, the moss pole Manjula leaves are twice as big as the other pot outgrowing its grow vertical . Now i need to rewatch your suggestions on taking plants off to put onto a regular moss pole 😹 which reminds me ( its the dead of winter here) making it much harder to keep optimal conditions. I may have to wait to repot/pole my Manjula? As well, I want to wait to video my moss poles for you after they've recovered from the near disaster of below freezing temps and broken furnace. Hopefully a video of Spring growth here will still work for you?😻

    • @sydneyplantguy
      @sydneyplantguy  Год назад

      Thanks :) moss poles are definitely care :) they mimic the trees in nature so in my opinion it's the best way to grow the plants true to nature & realise the potential the conditions have set :) Yes, avoid too much stress/shock all at ones :)
