This is better footage of these guys than I've seen in any nature documentary, lol. The stoats playing in their little pond kinda blew my mind, never knew they were keen to swim.
The stoat when talking to her friends visiting: "What you don't have a human to build you a fortress? Shame, gotta get you one, so handy with those little thumbs."
This is just a fabulous insight into the life of stoats which I can't even remember Mr Attenborough covering to such a degree. Very educational for children's studies as well. Quite unique and very enjoyable. Thanks for your time and effort Mr Fuller. Very enjoyable. Much appreciated.
Due to times of the world now most sell of their land for profit but the joy and wonder you get by having property big enough for wildlife is priceless.
They are a slightly bigger version of the weasel only stoats have a longer tail with a black tip. They are beautiful creatures but very vicious - they have to be to feed their babies.
That’s it.....because of Robert’s dedication and groundbreaking recordings in the nests,we have all had the pleasure of seeing mind-blowing footage ...another million views on it’s way...!
Another in a series of brilliant wildlife videos by an artist/ wildlife rehabilitation expert who creates such splendid habits in his own back yard. It’s joyous to see into this worl.
I am currently raising a baby stoat that was brought home to a lady by her cat, it was about 2 days old and she advertized for someone to help her. I have raised many baby racoons, squirrels and baby birds and this is my first time raising a stoat. This baby was the size of my index finger, blind and deaf . I have learned so much about these little creatures. I call it wheezy and she is now almost five weeks old and her fur is beginning to come in, she feels like a warm piece of soft velvet. Her eyes opened about a week ago and she is so cute and playful. I didnt realize she needed meat as soon as her teeth came in but at 3 weeks she was mowing down chicken and beef (raw) and has grown alot. I can now relax and catch up on some sleep as she no longer wants milk even though i have tried several times to give it to her after she has eat her chicken. She now drinks water out of a small dish and coughs and snorts as she is still a little clumsy. This has been a lovely experience for me and my family enjoys watching her play and grow. To be a mother to these orphaned babies takes alot of dedication so if you are someone who is too lazy to do several night feedings and you have a forest baby give it to someone who can care for it properly.
I’m enjoying learning about sloats, as I’ve never seen any. As they mature they remind me of otters. I must admit that I’m missing not seeing Robert as much in person in this documentary. He just adds something special that I didn’t realize as much until you don’t see him in person while filming this documentary. As always, thank you for sharing this rare glimpse into the world of having a nursery of 8 active and mischievous sloats. 😅
Absolutely fascinating how Robert has developed an ingenious way to keep wildness and respect in his filming the stoat and weasel families in his garden. Amazing 😊
Totally absorbed by this amazing footage! Sensational to watch this beautiful animal activity! What a patient man you are!!! Thank you indeed! I am busting to visit your gallery when I come over to stay with friends in Nth. Yorkshire next Spring! Thank you again for going to so much trouble. I just LOVE it!
I absolutely LOVE your videos!! Your love for all the didderent kinds of life who choose to inhabit your garden are so touching! Your voice is also quite soothing, thank you for making these videos that show how much you care for these animals😍
I just found your channel and subscribed. The love and diligence you've given these lil adorable creatures is so above and beyond Robert. Just amazing! I look forward to your and their adventures in your garden! Love your love Mr. Robert!!! Godspeed dear one!
Brilliant Robert, your patience pays off and teaches us all more about these amazing creatures, thank you so much for each and every one of your amazing videos, I’m learning so much x
This is one of those 'Why did YT recommend this?' videos. Thank you YT! But more importantly, thanks muchly Mr Fuller! For doing what you do & especially for sharing. This was absolutely lovely to watch, i was enraptured throughout. It was brilliantly put together. Could make a nice story about the life in your back garden. Made me think of the books Watership Down & Duncton Wood.
Absolutely beautiful film, thank you so much, it was a real treat to watch it. I still have difficulty distinguishing a stoat from a weasel! But they are all so adorable, irresistible!
Honestly, I was confused as to which one was the momma compared to her kits. They move around so fast & they all look the same lol. The weasel & stoats look the same to me too. But the best part of this video was the excitement of Robert's friend that he got to spy on the tiny residents in Robert's backyard. Simply brilliant & heartwarming! ♥
Superb footage and very well documented. Such a joy not to have music inserted and just natural sounds. You have furthered my knowledge of stoats. I used to rescue mongooses in India. Very similar and wild animals, fast, ferocious, and utterly adorable. Thank you, Robert! The habitat is very natural, pond, garden, rocky nest area, lovely!
Fantastic stuff. Can't believe you got stoats AND weasels breeding in your garden! Its a hard life for a little mustelid mother bringing up a litter of unruly kits; drains them. That fight was very intense. Great footage 👍
Mate you've done a fine job of A- getting her trust and B- making that a place as any weasel would want to live . Keep up the grate work your video's are super grate
Simply awesome thank you Robert for making this possible your hard work and determination has paid off with you doing your bit for nature and finding out more about the wild Stoat and it's habits I was amazed when you said the kits were feeding on meat as young as a week old that's incredibly fast.just think how advanced there metabolism is.👏👍🎥💯💗💕😀
Fabulous filming and just amazing to watch thank you so much for your work Robert E Fuller may you go from strength to strength. I love all animals. ❤️

Blimey, what a smart set up! The mirror is genius and I love how the weasel mother trusts you enough to walk by you holding one of her babies. This is fascinating
2:20 She outsmarted you, Robert! She spotted the camera and shifted her nest almost immediately! Lol! 3:14 "Hah! I see y'all but y'all won't see me!!!"
I hope you've enjoyed the video!

I think most mustelids are 😂
@Consume the Wealthy ferrets can bathe just not with soaps
@ferret Not all otters are sea otters. In fact, most are river otters.
@ferret ferrets will happily go for a swim, mine will choose to go into water if it’s available
Ever since finding a random stoat video I’ve become obsessed.
stoatally
Same here
Never heard the word in 50 years of life, until 4 days ago LoL
@@vaszgul736 omfg get out---->🤬
This face 😮
I miss my ferret.
Love how the mom drags the babies furry little selves back each time they escape.
The stoat when talking to her friends visiting: "What you don't have a human to build you a fortress? Shame, gotta get you one, so handy with those little thumbs."
Yes, love it!!! They could all use a handy human in their lives❤
HIGHLY UNDERRATED!! Everyone needs to see these levels of cuteness atleast once in their life
Agreed! Stoat kits are ridiculously cute.
Stoats are awesome. I wish they where demosticated like ferrets are. I would totally own a stoat.
This is just a fabulous insight into the life of stoats which I can't even remember Mr Attenborough covering to such a degree. Very educational for children's studies as well. Quite unique and very enjoyable. Thanks for your time and effort Mr Fuller. Very enjoyable. Much appreciated.
In fact BBC Earth has posted several youtube videos on these very stoats, filmed at Robert's gallery!
Due to times of the world now most sell of their land for profit but the joy and wonder you get by having property big enough for wildlife is priceless.
When chirping together it sounds like my old PC from the 90's.
I had never even heard of a stoat! Since finding these videos, I have become quite enamored of them.
Their home looks like a fairyland!
They are a slightly bigger version of the weasel only stoats have a longer tail with a black tip. They are beautiful creatures but very vicious - they have to be to feed their babies.
@@thedativecase9733 Thanks for the info.
Best stoat footage ever ....fantastic.
Stoatally!
Jennifer I think he wanted to film everything, after all he built them a great place to start a family...the stoats just didn’t cooperate until later.
That’s it.....because of Robert’s dedication and groundbreaking recordings in the nests,we have all had the pleasure of seeing mind-blowing footage ...another million views on it’s way...!

Well done for your dedication. They are wonderful to watch grow and develop.
Man that brawl between kits was something else!! He RKO'ed the other into the pond. Amazing footage, thank you!
Hayley Bryde im confused. Did it die?
@@Denaligirljodie no I don't think so!
Yeah I was scared one was going to die glad I didn't have to see that
Yeah they good fighters, ferrets are simalar except way bigger. And seeing a small ferret killing a big rat its not even fair
This guy is living my best life
