    The people make the community. My Brutha and Sistahs it starts in the home, teach our children to respect others and themselves. Waimanalo is no longer what it used to be, but we can change that, but again it starts in the Home. If you want to see the strength of a community look at the opio. Waimanalo is and will forever be my home.

    I saw “Nalo” and had to share this. I hope us Hawaiians can be receptive to this mana’o and not be offended. A slang created out of innocence and naivety “ Molos” for Moloka’i and I had to correct my Ohana to say our island name correctly. If not going be pa’a - future generations going be ma’a to the word. The same for Nalo - I’ve heard it before. I know it sounds manini but I think it needs to be said. Mahalo.

      Family passed it down around the Great Mahele time foreigners were allowed to purchase land.
