I live in Western, NY. Buffalo, the Southtowns, and Southern tier, had deep snow. I live North of there, Saturday and Saturday night were when the heaviest snow fell.

This is a storm for the record books for Western New York. However, I wouldn’t say that it’s record breaking for the Tug Hill Plateau region downwind of Lake Ontario. Tug Hill is traditionally the snowiest place in all of New York.
I live just south of buffalo right in the middle of all this …. grew up here.
I am also familiar with the tug hill area and i would say Tug hill on average gets a little more snow and there will be a little more on the ground on any given day ….. however, our snow fall totals in a single event are record holders :) … good for snowmobiling hehe

Anyone that has backpacked / camped knows to make sure your batteries stay warm or else you will wake up with depleted charge … both in your phone and your charger.

I grew up there. It was in certain parts of the city. South Buffalo and really the southern surrounding areas on Lake Erie. I’ve seen and dug out way worse.

One must note that the CO2 based climate models have never, ever, been more than 50% accurate; As in a coin toss. Models based on solar output, the Sun, are generally about 93% accurate, and they universally show we are headed into a mini ice age, likely already in progress as each of the last 6 winters have been colder than the one prior, the temperature has dropped planet wide by 0.5 degrees since 1992, which was the peak year.
They must be using a fisherman's tape to measure the snow depth in these videos. I see some deep drifts, but only a few feet of snow overall.
Oh, and it's 72f and sunny here. I'll go out and shovel it in my shorts.
Buffalo had 18" or less. Totally misleading report. The big snows were in Buffalo's 'South towns' they got wacked to the tune of 80 inches! 18" while not desired, is no big deal here.
