I found to my disappointment today that this is no longer on Soundcloud. I thank you very much for posting this!
That's a big shame. At least we got it back now!!
i was very surprised but also sad when i found out. very thankful i had the foresight to download the original files when i still could
Part 4 contains the best snare sounds ever heard on OPL3. Never thought this was possible.
Those chords 😍
With register view! Thank you!
Themes I associate the tracks from the demo with:
001: Central Metropolis
002: Mediterranean Cities and Ruins
003: Nighttime Downfall Park
004: High-tech Sky Shootout
SHMUP games, maybe?
I imagine song 3 to also be a good candidate for a (good) ending theme
Morning, day, evening, night
@@atirutwattanamongkol8806 Late reply, but yes.
crazy noisy bizarre town
Damn this orchestra hits are very good!
Fine music overall!
saving this to my playlist
sounds like an anime opening that I would fucking binge watch everyday
great work man!
Oh my god this is gorgeous
YEEES!! I've been looking for this!!
Nice, an OPL3 tune that actually sounds good!😄🤩😎👌
Nice, another ashkirby comment found!
😄😍😎👌
@@NovaAbstract They are like rare pokemons!
I have a few equally.😄😍😎👌
dya like opl2 / opl3 sounds ? this will blow your mind -> ruclips.net/video/AUWdIuyVyvs/видео.html&ab_channel=acrouzet
There he is.
Sounds good for an OPL3.
This is what an OPL3 SHOULD sound like.
Instead of awful farts that composers did back then.
OPL3 suprisingly beats the SID by a mile
Very cool
めちゃくちゃ好き
It's piano break beat!!!! 🎹 🎹
002 is basically a 2OP SEGA Outrun.
kanye if he was a chiptune artist
This didn't age well at all
I'm going defcon 3 on all chiptune artists
Oh boy
@@anonimenkolbas1305 it aged perfectly well
@@anonimenkolbas1305 what happened to kanye?
awesome
Names I given to those songs:(if it was used in a sonic game)
1:Neo Studiopolis zone
2:Special Stage
3:Night of Green Hill Zone
4:Stardust Speedway Good Future
잘들었습니다 감사합니다~!
Sounds like something out of a Sega Genesis game. ^_^
Cool
the 1st one is just SHMUP type beat
ye
This sounds like something out of a new teenage mutant ninja turtles game for the switch ad from paramount plus
Nice ! Is this music can be played on PC with a sound blaster 16 ?
yep
@@Marisueksu how ?
@@ieno98 if you have a 32-bit windows or xp or earlier machine, vgmplay can do hardware opl3 passthrough playback.
google drive link isn't working please upload to archive dot org this should be preserved
also I'd like to try moon driver software in an MSX emulator if possible!
I really love this demo. Do you have an HQ audio file I can download?
Here you go ;-)

@@tta6119 Hey, thanks man. Appreciate it!
the third music is almost taDC
I've always wondered why such demos have really great OPL3 music and PC games with OPL3 have such crap.
title of the songs please
Bro let a Bashkir in the kitchen
stems/splits?
mind if you make an explanation on how to play those files and split them up?
@@tajshash Tutorial?
I'm using corrscope for this video, please check out its documentation.
Single channel audio can be generated with vgmplay.
@@tta6119 i don't mean to play it in corrscope, i meant convert every single channels to .wav(splits), i thought you did that
also i meant explanation in my previous comment, i did not word it right
@@tajshash I see. Here is the batch file I used. Customize this as you see fit.

@@tajshash MDPlayer also supports channel masking and .wav output, as does vgmplay.
It doesn't sound like FM synthesis; where's the true OPL3 sound????
That's because the patches were done the japanese way, not the american Fat Man way :P
@@Marisueksu I guess that explains why FM so commonly sounds like farts.
A curse of an fm synthesis: a lazy programmer.
This is as true as it gets, way better than just midis slapped onto the chip basically
@@Marisueksu bruh I'm dead lmao
