TeamFlamingStones actually, the NES was capable of sampling. The drums from Mario 3 are sampled, and the same with Ninja Gaiden and Castlevania. The Japanese version of Castlevania III: Dracula’s curse, aka Akumajou Densetsu uses the VRC-6 addon, which the creator of this remix uses. The VRC-6 addon is another sound chip specifically used for sampling, but due to a low budget, Nintendo of America didn’t allow Konami to use it for its release outside of Japan. That’s why the English version of the game has a different soundtrack than the original.
