Before even watching the video, what I heard seems up my alley. I've been stuck on city pop and japanese jazz fusion for a good moment now lol. Listen to "Between the Sky and the Ground" and "Sonic Boom" by Naniwa Express. Their specific sound has just been my favorite. Interestingly enough they are owned by Sony and on their first album it explicitly states it. Sony was probably trying to get a piece of that japanese pie against CASIOPEA, which was heavily endorsed by Yamaha. Too bad Naniwa Express never saw the light of day, their only good recorded live was their disbandment performance but you should listen to their studio stuff.
