The main character was based off a Rapper(Attitude) that could Break Dance while fighting with a sword. You can find the source with a quick google search about the author and his inspiration on the characters. He talks about Jin and the Girl too.
I agree, but at least they finished the main story they found her father, GANGSTA was real bullshit IMO, they gave a great season one and ended it on a major cliff hanger and never came back, it was tragic.

Redline really is a beautiful movie. The first time i watched it i was blown away. It still holds up for a re-watch. Needs more attention in the mentions of the greatest animated movies of all time.

I love how because Jin is such a master of swordsmanship that his only true counter is Mugen, who his whole life was spent fighting in the exact opposite ways of Jin. The two fighting each other would be like an unpredictable violent chemical reaction.
