- Free with Computer Music issue 234, Monoplugs' B-Step CM (PC VST, Mac VST/AU, Linux VST) is an inspirational melody, beat and chord designer with the immediacy of a 'punch 'n' play' 16-step sequencer. Each pattern is locked into a chord progression, so your tunes always stay in key - and you can change chords as you like.
Check out this first of two in-depth B-Step CM tutorials - we show you how to get your funk on with this intelligent musical sequencer.

This taught me more about the vst than the manual did... Thanks
It's sad since Monoplugs is out of business, but fortunate for us, this plugin's already free to download for Linux, Mac and Windows, for example from KVR Audio.
reminds me of playing with Novation Circuit. Thanks :)
Not free.
I used this a lot on my mac but I can't get it to install at all on Catalina now. The monoplugs website appears to be defunct which doesn't help, although CM is still punting it in the mag and on filesilo. Any chance of a Catalina friendly update pretty please?
dont work on my macbook with logic.. any more improvments since
Aloha I downloaded the computer music 234 which I paid for Now how do I get the free version of monoplug?
I bought Dec issue and didn't find this plug in the CD. Pls advise.

can i drag the finished loop to my timeline/arrangement as a midi item ?
If you are on Mac, you can use its Virtual MIDI port to route this plugin’s output to it. And from there send it to your instrument track. And you will have all your notes entered “live”. So you can record them as if you were playing on real midi keyboard. That virtual port is called IAC Driver in your midi environment.
3:49 this is the ridiculous part of music making...that anyone can do it without even knowing what they're creating! The machine does all the work. We are just the manipulators.
Too complicated for me,I am old school dumbo lol,not a tech head like all of today's soul less music.
Well, in 80s there was a LOT of plug-ins on keyboards and they WERE complicated.. It's the same now..
