John’s lost quite a bit of matches throughout his career but the man has cemented his status dominating the sport for over 40 years, beating guys who are much bigger than he was. John is also humble and always pulls with class and respect to all opponents and never resorts to mind games or over the top trash talks. Even now at 59, he is still a beast for his age. Longevity & status is what defines him as the goat.

Much lesser accomplished athletes let their status go to their heads so easily and then you have one of the most dominant and greatest not only of armwrestling but of sports in general being so down to earth. Is almost as if he doesn't realize how impactful his career has been to the point other athletes (who many idolize) such as Denis, Levan, Ermes or Devon look up to him.
One of the factor that makes him the greatest is when he lose to the top guys,he was always able to get his redemption..Lupkes,Gary Goodridge,cleve dean,Johnnie walker,Zaur,Devon,Ron Bath,Travis Bagent,Tim Bresnan,Andrey Pushkar,Denis,Alexey and many more..Trubin,Vasili,Scott Norton,Alan Karaev and Arsen Liliev had his number because they only pulled once..and of course Krasi..we'll find out tomorrow if John is able to get his revenge

John usually figured guys out over the course of multiple meetings..and he's got a winning record again most top guys I think Liliev won cuz John chose not to slip and go to the straps.. could have won 5-0 othrwise but he lost 2-3..the man often values a way of winning more than winning itself.. As for Krasi, he only met John after the shoulder surgery when John had started losing in his own weight class.. don't think that losing record means a lot

Engin, maybe it would be a great travel to the past, also something fresh for almost every single new fan of armrestling - and organising a tournament event? I would personally would love to see such thing.
