Haha this is cool to see as I know Johnathan and knew him throughout this build. I helped put the roll bar in and the rear subframe is the cleaned up one from my current car after I swapped to nb subframes. Johnathan is very meticulous you guys have a great car there, take care of it.
No way dude. I bought it with a screwed up throw out bearing, hours on the phone with K power and two transmission drops later and it rips. The car is special as hell. Don’t know if I’ve ever seen anything like this, short of 100k+ muscle car restorations. He’s crazy.
I LOVE THE CAR...IM NOT PUTTING IT DOWN AT ALL...love it...but let's be serious here.someone bought a k series motor/trans/ECU/harness/then dealt with driveshaft..shifter..motor/trans mounts .. radiator.. exhaust...electrical...just to name a few..in the end car can't pass emissions in most states and is unregisterable..un smogable and you spent 10grand ish.....and you got 200+ hp........you really should have just put a 302 with a t5 out of 1987-1993 mustang GT/lx in that thing..it's rear wheel drive...it's been done in pintos Vegas 240z's and miata's hell there's even a mount kit available for the V8 Miata swap... would have been the same work and it would have went from..damn this thing is fast...to holly shit I need to check my underwear...
@@georgecalloway8714 most states it's 1976 or older is emissions exempt..I don't know why the hell they don't change this stupid law...it should be like 20 years old and older should be exempt..it used to be like that.

That Miata’s old enough to not have to do emissions or inspections just about anywhere

Once your car hits between 20-27 years old your exempt
The car does not make logical/financial sense at all. But one day it might.
For now though, makes all kinds of emotional sense to me.
