That is interesting. When you are speaking about the Kabir Singh generation, are you referring to the plot of Kabir Singh (and the character of the protagonist) or to the music in that movie? If the former is the case, then Madhavan in RHTDM and Shahid Kapoor in Kabir Singh are similar in a number of aspects. Both are introduced as college students, both are bad boy archetypes and both get the girl in the end. In fact, Madhavan in RHTDM cheats his lover at one point (by assuming a fake identity) whereas Shahid Kapoor in Kabir Singh does not (during his love affair). That is actually a point in favour of Kabir Singh. If you are talking about music, then both movies have lots of good melodies.
