    Nice tree. Maybe you can make a video on who to take root cuttings? There is not much about this on RUclips.

    I forgot to ask, how easy do the root cuttings take? I've taken dozens of softwood cuttings of that kind of ficus, with high success rates, but I never tried root cuttings.

      I'd say root cuttings are just as easy if not, easier than traditional cuttings.

    Good pot for that tree. Are you going to keep all of the large roots, or do you plan to cull any of them in the future?

      @@BonsaiYEAH The one that ramps up before going out might get funky over time. I hate taking out large roots at the surface though. You just never know how quickly the tree will cover up the scar.

    What soil mix do you use for this repot, also can you show us pic of that osmocote fertilizer?

      It's a mix produced by Sanderson creek bonsai in Fort Worth tx.

    What do you use for your your pine bark?

      It's a pre mix I got from a texas based bonsai shop called sanderson creek bonsai in Fort Worth
