In episode 2 Qimir when the jedis gets in the apothecary, asks them to not to use any force mind power on him, and at the same time waves with his hands in front of him. For some reason, for the first time when the jedi are trying to interigate a person they don't use force mind trick on him. They do it on everyone else up to that point. But for some reason, they just don't do it to Qimir. In the same episode, he have no problem to defend himself from Mae that tries to kil(?) him with a suprise attack. Mae that has no problem going up against trained jedi masters. And yes in this episode the master desides to kill Mae's target? why? The only person that knows that Mae have decided to not kill the jedi is Qimir, and she says it to Qimir very shortly before she founds the now dead jedi, the jedi that has just been killed, so recently so the wound is still smoldering from the lightsaber. The target Mae was sent to kill, and the master wouldn't kill until he/she knew Mae changed her mind. Yes Qimir is definitly more then just a guide. Don't know if he is the master or the apprentice, but probably one of them, or otherwise very close to one of them.
Jaby is on point with his commentary about the story not giving enough to get the viewer invested emotionally with any of the characters. It's playing more like a movie with fillers that has been cut into episodes than a well paced series.,
there is Son, the padawan . ehh . i like a good bad guy mystery, afraid of the payoff tho . an Acolyte is an cool idea . there are shreds . hidden deep within :)
I'm guess Qimir is a red herring to being the dark sider and Mother Aniseya actually survived and is the dark sider master and Mae and Osha are the "two" that have to fight as "one" to defeat their mother.
Don't expect anything clever from this show. After episode 3, I expected to see the same events but from a different perspective, to show what went on from the perspective of the Jedi or Mae, revealing the things Osha didn't see but had to assume. Nope, they just continued the story.
@@MustardSkaven It's fun to speculate what I think. But it's probably is straight forward. You would think that a show that supposed to take inspiration from Rashomon it would show the other perspectives in the next couple of episodes or something, but they didn't. Some of these writers are inexperienced and it shows.
Anyone else think the bad guy is that one mother? Typically in a tv show if a villain covers their face doesn't their identity end up being personal? Doesn't this remind anyone of the final season of Samurai Jack with all those daughters with the one mother? Also are they setting up a fight scene between force-wielders (the Jedi) and a thread-wielder (the bad guy)?
"half the Jedi squad get slaughtered, would you care?" "No." She didn't even know their names she said, that's why. Well, did you know the names of the ones killed in Order 66? No. I never seen most of them before those few scenes, but I was bawling my eyes out when they died. Here? I don't care.
Jecki wasn't into osha before they met. But if you recall in response two they had a moment where they started getting friendly. Jecki even smiled at osha but then they heard jord/yord(?) coming and she got serious. So their interaction here isn't out of left field. In an interview daphne mentioned that jecki has a crush on osha. When i rewatched that scene between them with the idea that they might be attracted to each other, the scene made far more sense. Specifically oshas comment about being more flexible
@@thedarkknight2221 These Jedi don't even feel like the High Republic era tho. The Jedi in this show are completely different from the books. The whole point of the High Republic is that the Jedi are way less flawed, and they are actually just good people serving the galaxy.
There are ton of great books and comics for the High Republic. And there are so many interesting stories Disney needed just to buy one comics and adapt it... But they decide to make the force gay and Jedi evil
Jaby don’t apologize for not liking it. I’m struggling myself and it’s not about woke or wanting to hate either. I feel you, I’m with you, I understand you, it’s not great at all. I’m not connected to any of the characteres. I think the show wants to show the Jedi suprressing their feelings because they aren’t supposed to have any attachments of love relationships but they all lack charisma. Each actor seems flat. Although, I like this episode better than the last one.
Yeah that really annoyed me. Especially with how the showrunner was talking about how much she wanted to have a Wookiee Jedi in the show, only to literally do NOTHING with the idea…
If there’s one thing that Jaby has always been is critical and honest. I can honestly say that from his reviews/reactions that he doesn’t subscribe to a popular opinion just because it’s popular. His opinions are entirely his own and that’s one of the things I respect most about this channel and why I stay subscribed
Jaby and Achara, you are professionals at this point who understand the language of cinema. You've seen outstanding cinematography and next level storytelling. Does the Acolyte meet standards set by Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, Dark Matter, Mandalorian, Succession? A lot of money went into Acolyte. If the show as good, all the haters would have to be quiet. Remember early seasons of Game of Thrones had everything these "woke" haters didn't like and no one said a word. So just be honest with your audience. They are not stupid and won't be bullied into liking a directors work if it sucks.
Dude....what??? Game of Thrones is one of the best show ever, great writting at least till season 7. Great characters....how the fck you compare Game of Thrones with this garbage. Its not "woke" its just pure horse shit garbage. There are plenty shows with great black and gay characters...but at least they are written well. Here they trying to break every Star Wars rules based on 40 years of cinema with some crapy dialogs.. SPACE LESBIAN WITCHES!!!!!!! WTF?!?!?!
You people are so in disbelief anyone can watch a show that’s just simply okay that you think they are being held hostage. Do you really have nothing better to do with your time? If you hate the show why are you watching reactions to it? I’m so confused by this behavior
@@terogates1 I like the reactors and I value their opinion. It's that simple. I am an original trilogy fan only. I did not like the prequels and I don't like Dave Filoni's version of Star Wars, it complicates things. A New Hope is about a person dealing with good vs evil. I also believe the empire isn't evil by itself. The Sith corrupted a system that's meant to protect people especially those in the outer rim who have to defend themselves against the scum and villainy which they can't do on their own. But that's my take on it. The Sith corrupted a system while the Jedi are force for good. I don't like how Disney Star Wars what's to destroy the past and make Jedi look evil and stupid. In our real world, we have situations where the ordinary person can't defend themselves for groups of negative people. There needs to be balance. People need to be free to live safely in their neighborhoods. We need content with solid morals, not gray areas because people are influenced by fictional content. Anyway, take care of yourself man.
Been saying this since the first 5 minutes. They haven’t made me care about the story or characters yet. I suppose the story of the Jedi not knowing about a sith presence is somewhat intriguing. But that’s about the extent of the intrigue for the entire show
This was probably my fav episode so far- the lightning, the cliffhanger!!! The moment when the Dark Master appears was scary as heck! About Jedi and romance, well, Jedi have no relationships of that sort (imagine nuns or monks). Yord hs simply a stick up his butt and wants to be a teachers-pet, Jackie is just friendly to everyone.
A bad story is a bad story. The bigots hate women and people of color being in anything but them hating they show doesn't mean I have to ignore the bad writing and direction. It is what it is.

What if Osha turns evil? She seems so reluctant to forgive Mae and even tells Yord to kill her, where as Mae is the complete opposite and just wants to give herself up now that osha is alive
Did you buy it from Mae? I thought she wanted to SEE her master, and was trying to get him to reveal self. Not making a 180, that seems not to make sense but again it could be.
@jennym2276 I buy it because she captures qimir, who has done nothing but help her, she even tells qimir she is going to turn herself in and tell the jedi what she knows, the reason she didn't exit kelnaccas place is because she was terrified of her master you could see it.

I haven't watched this show but I totally get what Jaby is saying at the end about not feeling anything while watching it. It's happened to me with too many Disney+ shows, both Marvel and Star Wars ones. They feel not fully developed in their writing, so it's like they focus on what happens but not on telling a compelling story with good characters built through good dialogues and moments. Those shows just feel like someone is sticking to telling you what's supposed to happen during each episode and nothing else, without going into details that would make them interesting, fleshed out, compelling. Everything happens because it's supposed to happen and that's it. Their scripts are basically an early draft.
I think Jaby's been one of the fair arbiters of the show. Not falling head over heels in love with it (though, I'm sure there are people who do genuinely love it and, hey, that's their call), but not screeching at every episode like the others.
Jaby is bang on. Disney+ Star Wars writing is like Cliffsnotes. Even if they had a good plotline, they don't flesh out anything or create good dialog so everything feels rushed and it's hard to have a connection with any of the characters. Good acting helps a little and I think the two leads are doing a good job.
I assumed Jason was the Master the first time we saw him. From a narrative perspective, he had to be a character whose face we'd already seen, and his was the most logical.
@@Iwillone that's not the point. The point is that Mundi and every single other jedi had no reason to believe otherwise at all. But if they encountered these sith, and that's what they definitely are, then it's all canon breaking garbage
@@anakinSkyhopper91 But it's the facts though. We'll see how it plays out since none of the High Republic Jedi has deduced that the masked man is a Sith.
@Iwillone there's no way they aren't a sith with a red cyber crystal lightsaber and that powerful in the force. Of course the sith were underground plotting, hence Maul and Palpatine existing in Ep 1 already. But the lore breaking is that the jedi said they were extinct for a millennium. Not, "oh we fought one like a hundred yrs ago"
Anyone who attacks those that genuinely don't like this show is worse than the fandom they hate so much. Sol is the only character I actually like and the more I see. The more his potential disappears with how this story is unfolding.

In fact, the toxicity amongst the star wars community has grown quite out of control within the last 10 or so years. And it’s gotten to the point where even celebs like Ewan McGregor have had to speak up about it.
0:50 MOST PEOPLE, don't mind what kind of casting culture hollywood is cooking. or whether they are ticking boxes based on gender, race, connection or reach. people are not liking it because of the script. the entire set looks great, the visuals are astonishing, the 2nd and 3rd episode even gave slight vibe of andor at certain scenes of landscapes. it's the story telling part that people are most frustrated. the plot doesn't make sense, it feels like half cooked. as if they want certain dialogues and for those they are setup certain scenes. regardless of you march with these anti-woke people or woke people... majority people said that this show is not driven around storyline but certain remarks that they want to show and around those remarks the entire scene is plotted.

0:03 this is ultimately why i love the channel. even in its hay-days before the CinePals re-branding. thinking for yourself is valued greatly more than following others. it has been ironic over the past decade seeing how quick people are to condemn someone for thinking different while celebrating others for being different. as though the more they hate, the more they blindly become the thing they hate.
I see what you did there at the end with the cut 😂. I really hope next episode bring us some good action and answers, although I liked the way the Sith descended from behind.. so spooky. Wow I can’t believe anyone could say that this show is better than Andor? Andor is my favorite Star Wars’ show. Great dialogue, amazing story and characters! Thank you for your reaction. 😊
This show sadly doesn’t even feel like The High Republic era it’s supposed to be. With the exception of Sol, Osha and Jecki, the rest of the Jedi don’t seem anything like the more compassionate, wise, righteous and open minded Jedi that this era is known for. Hell I haven’t even seen one cross guard lightsaber in this whole show, and a lot of the Jedi of the High Republic era had them.

I mean, I know there isn’t exactly a set timeframe for The High Republic-nevertheless it seems like this is supposed to take place towards the “end” of that era. Tbh I have not read any of the things they’ve released about that time period, but as far as I know the character of Vernestra is already much older than she is in those novels. It seems they are simply planting the seeds of how the Jedi eventually became blinded by their hubris down the line.

What lightsaber duel??! See that Sith Lord simply force-push all those Jedi (and Master Sol to boot)? I'm convinced it's mother Koril. The witches kept using thread-push as training. If its Qirim then that's stupid. He's too "simp".
I'm fairly certain the sniveling sidekick guy is the Master - specifically as a reference to both Darth Jar Jar and some fan-rumors going around about Snoke being a more comical, kung-fu master type, before it turned out he was nobody.
This show is god awful. We have Ki-Adi Mundi in the show when he wasn’t even born yet. They are rewriting and eliminating lore. I have been an apologist for a lot of other shows like Boba Fett but this show broke me. It’s just sad because this could have been great. Its also deeply saddens me how many reactors have been bought by Disney promoting that the fans are the issue and not the show. Just sad
I feel like this show is fine. It's not great. But there are still fun elements in it. It's a bit of a mess. I'm gonna keep watching. I feel like the Star Wars fandom only deals in absolutes nowadays. Also I really don't get why people are complaining about wokeness. I don't really see an issue with the casting.
Casting would refer to the specific chosen talent (like this actor vs that actor). The criticism of “woke” is what seem to be the guiding principals in the writing, choices made in story, etc. Not saying people have zero issues with casting - just saying those are different ideas and people’s issues are more tied to the latter. The show, overall, I think is mostly vanilla now to me. I don’t hate, don’t love it. But I’ve seen 3 similar comments show up on episode 2, 3 and 4. “Disney shills.” “I’m done watching this.” “Worst show ever.” I should start keeping track of the names to see if it’s the same people every time because THAT would be hilarious.
It's called a smoke screen. If you read some of the reviews on Rotten Tomatoes you will see that most of the reviews talk about poor dialog, illogical scenes, wooden acting, poor sets and costumes (for a $180 million tv series), the pacing. Yes, some people will be woke. However, there are valid criticisms that are obvious to see. Even in this thread you can see there are plenty of valid criticisms that are not based on the ethnicity of a person, their gender or sexual preference. A diverse cast doesn't mean a show is automaticaly good or bad or free from criticism. Look at the positive reception to House of the Dragon with its diverse cast.
That Sith is incredible powerful to be able to do that much power with a wave of the hand. Star Killer is that powerful but he is a defected clone on a later timeline, so there is only one option left to whoever is under that mask. THAT SITH IS A WOMAN!!! Only a strong female character can be this powerful, we have run the numbers n it was to be A Female Character That doesn’t want to share power with his old Male Master.
@@ChrisSmith-tu9bu are you saying u don’t believe the Sith character could be a female? That sounds sexist to me if u don’t think is possible Since the chances are still 50/50 n that just my opinion, so we will find out later on the show if I’m correct. U should not just believe only man can be powerful u alpha man mentality is why society sucks.
I’m happy that these actors, actresses, and writers are back to work after their strike also it was to early to have Mae character arch turn to the light side also my theory is Qirim is actually the Master because he left Mae to go get some water for her which gives him the opportunity to kill Kelnacca.
right homie I don't care about the woke I care about the story I care about how the characters are it's a good show I don't understand why people are hating on it I have a feeling that it's because there's black main characters people need to grow the hell up and ps. The planet kavar is mentioned in knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2
Well done cutting off the video like that. 😂🤣😂 I'm enjoying the show but next week episode better bring it and the next 4 episodes really need to stick the landing. The Stronger im guessing is either Qimir or mother Koril but i think that's just the apprentice who the master will be i have no idea though it should probably be Tenebrous but we will see.
I got the feeling next week will be the other view of the flashback and we won't get the ending of the fight till a later episode. Agree with you two that some moments just seem off. Like Sol the wise gentle Jedi master just whipped his lightsaber out and killed that bug without even trying to stop it with the force. And Mae going from "trying to kill her sister" to now happy to see her alive. Maybe we will learning something going forward that will explain it.
as someone who loves the show: it IS NOT PERFECTLY MADE by a long shot. the directing can be way better. dialogue too. some scenes are like "what was that for?" in a bad way. but I know WHY I DO love it, I've interrogated the itches of mine that it scratches, and being a fan of Jaby, it's 1000% valid and even predictable that he itches in different spots. this show is a particular thing that operates in idea spaces most other SW does not. the vast majority of people who don't adore the show simply like other things about SW, and are nice people who can handle (played out word) wokeness. this is the most "mileage may vary" SW thing in a while. no one should be making anyone feel bad in either direction. The Galaxy is huge, with planets for every taste.
I guess you are right , I don’t really care about anyone but the twins , sol and now qimir . I don’t think we are supposed to care about the other Jedi I don’t think we are supposed to think they are friends we just need to know that osha is a nice person
One. Thats legends not canon… canon is just tv show and movies not any of the dark horse comics… two. Dark side user doesn’t equal sith… the sith are an order of the dark side but the master could just be a dark side user and not a worshipper of the sith religion. So when he says the sith haven’t been seen in a millennia he’s not wrong
Who cares? Why do people keep bringing up lore feces? Can't people just have fun? Why do people need to be so critical about this and that? And why do you need to get angry when you don't get what you want, as if the world revolved around you? Is that what you think? Disney does not know you exist. Disney does not care that you exist.
The truth is slowly revealed and I agree, we don't get nice scenes between characters who I assume we should want to know more about. Maybe in the 90s and 2000s, shows had lots of filler episodes, but the relationships between characters and their own personalities were more developed. And if you have an ensemble show or a show set in a rich and complex world, I feel like a 10 episode or less season works in your disservice if you mess up. Nowadays I get more enjoyment from watching old shows to be honest. Some star wars shows work with less episodes because we have seen the characters in other shows, but if you start fresh new it's hard to get us invested if there's too many people. In the Mandalorian it was mainly about Grogu and Din Djarin, that's why it worked.
That mask perfectly fits a green-skinned member of the Jedi order who just happens to be putting obstacles in the way of the Jedi investigating the murders...it's a though one...I must ponder upon it...
I get what Jaby says about the scenes being cliff notes b/c I've seen similar story telling in TCW and Rebels. I think it works in TCW and Rebels is b/c there are whole seasons of like 22 episodes each. So, they give you a cliff notes or, as I call it, shorthand version of events, but you have a whole season worth of trauma or themes and b/c those were only 22 or 25 minutes, each, they kinda had to rush along, but with enough of them in a season, you could feel the weight of the loss or events. In the D+ live shows, they're relying on 8 episodes for the whole season or per season and it's just not enough? I think that's what's doing a disservice to the live shows. I get that most are a bit longer than the 22-25 min of the cartoons, but not by a lot.
I’m at the point now that I do not think Ep 5 happened they way we saw it as viewers. Both Mae and Osha head planted into that red dust. My money is on the whole episode being one or both of their fever dreams. Remember when Mai got to Kelnacca bachelor pad the opossum dude was just standing there in a daze. I can almost imagine that in reality everyone in the episode is just standing in the red powder dazed. Kelnacca is the big bad and he red-powered the witches too.
Apart from Andor and The Mandolorian S1 and S2 Disney + Hasn't had much success with the Star Wars IP...It is incredibly frustrating to see another series come out and just be Mediocre at best... Obi Wan Series was not a hit when it should have been or Ahsoka or better yet Boba Fett. It's a shame that this series it's falling to the waste side as well because the cast are IMO really good, Lee Jung Jea OMG I love him in this role...Story wise, I'm still holding on to see what's to come but the short episodes, the non ret cons? or ret cons? not sure yet, are making this show hard to watch and just becomes mediocre at best which is disappointing because no one is cheering for Star Wars to fail! Everybody would love some good stuff like House of the Dragon, The Last of Us, Shogun, Star Wars should be up there with these series! My Two cents.
0:18 “I just care about good story and characters” And you think they’re in this show??? Show is trash and people like you would rather agree along than to take dislikes from “fans” just like Disney Star Wars and most Disney products are dying
What's so 🤯 about this, is that he stopped watching the Bruce Lee show 'Warrior', which has a good story and some action. I forget the reason he gave for him not to continue. But he would rather painfully keep watching this trash 😂.
Based on my experience of the show so far I honestly don’t care about any of the Jedi in this show because I am not emotionally invested in any of them and if they all end up dying I would not feel anything. And I agree with Achara’s prediction that the Acolyte’s teammate is actually the main villain, Also, as good as the action is I don’t believe that it can save the show, and in my opinion Andor is a much better show in every aspect.
Gotta love all the people who hate Star Wars yet are the first to comment on a show they apparently watched, even though they are "done" with Star Wars. No one hates Star Wars more than Star Wars "fans"
Can you explain how to critic a show without watching it? I was born with Star Wars... My first movie I ever watched was A New Hope. Many years after that I was fan of Clone Wars animation and Rebels. Like we critic Lucas for Phantom Menace....and what..did he blame the fans? NO!!! HE listen to us and make changes...and Revenge of the Sith will always be one of the best Star Wars movies...but he listen to us. Disney+ or that b*TCH Kenedi don't listen to Star Wars fans...they listen activist who hate Star Wars
As much as you enjoyed this episode may I point out that Master Ki-Adi Mundi who was in the Jedi Temple (the guy with the long head) who was also in the prequel trilogy shouldn't have been in this because in the time line he hadn't been born yet! This is just one example of the poor writing people are complaining about, it doesn't make sense because the continuity jumps all over the place, a clear indication that the writers have no clue what they're doing because they don't know or even care about the history and lore behind what they are writing. They simply got the job because they ticked certain boxes on a diversity check list and the fans are calling them out on this but as usual Disney/Lucasfilm are blaming the "TOXIC" fandom for the poor reviews and subscription cancelations instead of taking accountability for producing such garbage! They sad thing is this could be good if it was written by someone who actually gave a hoot about the franchise.
There was another show they didn't finish that I really wanted them too, but I can't remember what it was, and I'm not a subscriber so I know they won't listen to me.

Jaby....I am from India. I have been an subscriber of your channel ever since you reacted to that first Hrithik Roshan video. Back home in India, I was the centre of jokes in my family for watching 'childish' and 'imaginary' waste of time like star wars... I held on. I bought star wars model kits from my first salary, I had this thrill of a little boy when I put finishing touches on my X-wing model.as I remembered the torpedo strike carried out by luke.....which btw logically speaking an enormous waste of money for someone from India. You dont need to be a Disney shill like the Rejects or Grace Randolph. Have the courage to stand up to and to call out Disney and their entire left wing ecosystem for trying push their woke agenda down our throats. Our respect for the LGBTQ movement does not change the fact that their total population is miniscule. A forcible imposition of the minority on the majority is what has lead to this backlash. Just as an LGBTQ individual finds straight stuff offensive since it's continuously paraded in front of them, same applies vice versa. And even then the whole setup at Disney today seems ONLY intresting in selling products for consumption. SOMEONE HAS TO TAKE A STAND. Better be you.
i enjoyed this episode because it confirmed something i suspected and that is that something is very wrong with Osha, that lil dude is like "you... dont sit right with me." the Mountain Dew also was interested in her during the scene he shared with her "you're exactly like her..." but he seemed so interested in her like a shiny new toy. i think Osha and her emotional inability to be a Jedi is impressive... but more importantly Mae immediately gave up her vandetta... which is a clear sign she isnt dark as he hopes. but osha is unwilling to face Mae until forced to... i think Mae has a real pull to the darkside.
I agree with you on wanting a good story. The problem is that they polluted the show even before the show was made when they purposefully said that this show was going to be woke. We don't want woke, we want good story telling and good writing, and by your own words about the show we aren't getting that. And the woke garbage continues. Shocker that the woman of color who was the villain suddenly has a change of heart to become good cause only the evil white man can be evil. This is what I mean. The evil twin, I honestly don't care enough to learn her name as the show is so bad, just suddenly decided to surrender out of no where. The characters feel, as you said, just plot points with no connection whatsoever. This is why the show is getting horrible ratings and why anyone who says this is a good show is getting called out.
I think they over did the slow pacing following the praise that Andor got. They are teasing a lot but not paying off like my favorite K dramas do. I need little pay offs for little teases throughout the episode. Just like I disagree about the mothers but the tease about the mothers wasn't strong enough for me to care. Witches/Night Sisters are just another group until you make care. That's my one critique of the show.
I love that jaby referred to Rashomon as "some Samurai movie from the 60s" 😅 I hope that even if people are not into the show that it inspires them to watch more Kurosawa and find out how much better the direction, acting and writing is than anything in Star wars. And how so much of it has been ripped off by Lucas and company lol
I'm trying...I really am. But the pacing is choppy, the acting mediocre, the writing simplistic if I'm generous, and the series structure? Basically, its boring. Sorry. Like I said, I'm trying.

Yeah, Qimir is definitely one of the bad guys. Maybe Darth Smile-O. And one of the mothers could be the second one.

Jaby is on point with his commentary about the story not giving enough to get the viewer invested emotionally with any of the characters. It's playing more like a movie with fillers that has been cut into episodes than a well paced series.,

You should watch the discussion at the end.

there is Son, the padawan . ehh . i like a good bad guy mystery, afraid of the payoff tho . an Acolyte is an cool idea . there are shreds . hidden deep within :)
I'm guess Qimir is a red herring to being the dark sider and Mother Aniseya actually survived and is the dark sider master and Mae and Osha are the "two" that have to fight as "one" to defeat their mother.
Interesting theory
I agree
OR that Zabrak Coven sister
He was floating so now I’m like “yep, it makes sense”
I think the two lead theories are that it's Qimir or Koril (not Aniseya, but the other witch mother) though I hope it's neither, personally?
Build of the Sith or potential Sith looks female. Am guessing its one of the witches but meh - dont really care about the show

"No."
She didn't even know their names she said, that's why.
Well, did you know the names of the ones killed in Order 66? No. I never seen most of them before those few scenes, but I was bawling my eyes out when they died. Here? I don't care.
would be so funny if all the jedi friendly fire each other with the lightsaber flailing around when they got blown away
There was a time when I wanted to be a Jedi so bad. Now they make them feel like a mix between Scientology and bad space cops.
But the Jedi have always been flawed. Though I admit not as much in the High Republic era.
@@thedarkknight2221 These Jedi don't even feel like the High Republic era tho. The Jedi in this show are completely different from the books. The whole point of the High Republic is that the Jedi are way less flawed, and they are actually just good people serving the galaxy.

WOOKIE JEDI! aaaaand hes dead
Yeah that really annoyed me. Especially with how the showrunner was talking about how much she wanted to have a Wookiee Jedi in the show, only to literally do NOTHING with the idea…
We will remember you..."something-Nacca"?
What was that jedi "master" name??😅
i think we will see more of him in flashbacks still
There’s still more of him from the trailers we haven’t seen yet
The one thing people were actually excited for too
If there’s one thing that Jaby has always been is critical and honest.

2:00 Didn't Osha and Jecki have a moment in the episode two or did people forget about that?
People pretty much forgot a lot of things at this point. I even forgot the show had an episode Tuesday
They had that moment at the start and then Oshas’ reaction to Jeckis’ plan at the apothecary shop also shows she’s impressed
Gotta be honest I don't care about any of the characters.
Ok?
Been saying this since the first 5 minutes. They haven’t made me care about the story or characters yet. I suppose the story of the Jedi not knowing about a sith presence is somewhat intriguing. But that’s about the extent of the intrigue for the entire show
Same facts.
I’m gonna be honest, Stop lying.
I am very intrigued by this show I am not with the Anti woke hate I don't get that.
I loved this episode! I just played this video at 0.25 speed. And Archara saying “that’s a cool mask though” so much giggles

2 people, w 3 bags? I think there have been numerous hints that Qimir is something other than just himself.
I've seen leaks...well um..if you know, you know.
At first I suspected the guy helping Mae was the master but then I also suspect Mother Koril because they never showed her body
So nice for Ki-adi-mundi to make an appearance when he isn't even suppose to be born yet lmao.

$180 million show
You people complain too much
I haven't watched this show but I totally get what Jaby is saying at the end about not feeling anything while watching it.
The last minute of this episode was really good.
Seems like Mae is being used as bait to bring out the Jedi.
Its really good and exciting❤
How are these episodes so short with an 180 million budget!? 🤦🏽 #moneylaundering

I assumed Jason was the Master the first time we saw him. From a narrative perspective, he had to be a character whose face we'd already seen, and his was the most logical.
Story, acting, and writing are just dog$hit. They have no respect for the franchise and broke the lore. Such a garbage show.
This still doesn't make any sense when the phantom menace the coucncil said the sith have been extinct for a millennium
I mean if the Sith don't kill literally everyone in this show that knows they're identity, then it's breaking established lore...AGAIN

“Disney shills.”
“I’m done watching this.”
“Worst show ever.”
I should start keeping track of the names to see if it’s the same people every time because THAT would be hilarious.

Shogun got me interested in the first half of the first episode. I’m not interested or invested halfway through the season. Not good at all.
God forbid they actually show the wookie jedi getting killed to actually show a little action
Well that would ruin the SOPRISE
10:44 See, this the moment where I complain about the story. This is totally not earned in how she just switches her view so quickly.
Almost everyone in the original trilogy looked like they needed to wash their hair.
0:18 “I just care about good story and characters”
And you think they’re in this show???
Show is trash and people like you would rather agree along than to take dislikes from “fans” just like Disney
Star Wars and most Disney products are dying
What's so 🤯 about this, is that he stopped watching the Bruce Lee show 'Warrior', which has a good story and some action. I forget the reason he gave for him not to continue. But he would rather painfully keep watching this trash 😂.
It went from Star Wars to Star Was.
lol
Based on my experience of the show so far I honestly don’t care about any of the Jedi in this show because I am not emotionally invested in any of them and if they all end up dying I would not feel anything. And I agree with Achara’s prediction that the Acolyte’s teammate is actually the main villain, Also, as good as the action is I don’t believe that it can save the show, and in my opinion Andor is a much better show in every aspect.
10:50 I think he's the master
Spoilers: Episode 5 begins with another flashback to 16 years earlier. Also: that bad guy isn’t a he.
The villain is Trinity, it's obvious...😂
They're gonna finish this series, but didn't finish Brothers Sun 😐
Lets just say that there is Velma Season 2...let that sink
Brothers Sun got cancelled too but ok
There was another show they didn't finish that I really wanted them too, but I can't remember what it was, and I'm not a subscriber so I know they won't listen to me.
@cashewnuttel9054 Any show they stop a reaction to.
They always finish it offline on their patreon.
They do that because it gets very few views online.
They are just wasting time watching this shit....cause they have been told by the Hollywood Antiforce
I hope darth maul mother isn’t the Sith. The sith was walking a bit feminine. Don’t mind a female Sith, just not the witch mother
It's the Asian... guy. They're really not smart enough to make it anyone but him.
This show is pretty mid. I can't believe they are able to make a Star Wars show so boring.
oh ho ho! Nice ending
i enjoyed this episode because it confirmed something i suspected and that is that something is very wrong with Osha, that lil dude is like "you... dont sit right with me." the Mountain Dew also was interested in her during the scene he shared with her "you're exactly like her..." but he seemed so interested in her like a shiny new toy. i think Osha and her emotional inability to be a Jedi is impressive... but more importantly Mae immediately gave up her vandetta... which is a clear sign she isnt dark as he hopes. but osha is unwilling to face Mae until forced to... i think Mae has a real pull to the darkside.
I appreciate the Mountain Dew ref.
Pretty sure Qimir put on the mask, grabbed his lightsaber and reached in time to kill Kelnacca and fight the Jedi...
...wouldnt even surprise me if there isint even a fight next episode.
The best part of EPISODE 4 was the FOUR MINUTE CREDITS...😂😂😂😂😂
I love that jaby referred to Rashomon as "some Samurai movie from the 60s" 😅
I hope that even if people are not into the show that it inspires them to watch more Kurosawa and find out how much better the direction, acting and writing is than anything in Star wars. And how so much of it has been ripped off by Lucas and company lol
I'm trying...I really am. But the pacing is choppy, the acting mediocre, the writing simplistic if I'm generous, and the series structure? Basically, its boring. Sorry. Like I said, I'm trying.
I really wish that Disney would stop making films, permanently.
