My wife knew I was really into MGS and this played my head while I was sneaking around the house and she hears me and says "HQ! Intruder!" before throwing a pen at me.

This theme is permanently attached to my time working in the sewage system. It's a lot like sneaking in the game, but a lot smellier.
That's gotta be an interesting job for at least the first 10 minutes though. I don't even really know what is down there, I doubt most people do. There are manholes and drain covers everywhere, I've never gone down one. Probably won't either lol.

How did people dislike this game when it released? Everyone i’ve met who played the game at release in 2001 said they loves the twist of Raiden being the main character. It’s pretty surprising, i guess people didn’t understand the game’s message.
It wasn't what people were expecting. Even I, who only played the game this year without having the Raiden twist spoiled for me, felt deflated upon the beginning of the Big Shell chapter because going into the game I expected more of what the first game gave me. However as the game goes on and you learn more about Raiden's character, get to know him and reach that amazing ending, I realised how great of a character he truly is and how awesome of a twist the beginning of the game was. It's that subversion of your expectations that makes the game what it is, but unfortunately a lot of people aren't gonna like that for the exact same reasons people like me do. That's what I think about it anyway.

This game never gets old the story is amazing even the soundtrack
the story is debatable but soundtrack is fire, I think killing Emma off was a cheap move because every time I watch the cutscene I'm always left wondering how she got stabbed when Vamp's body was thrown back from the headshot
@Slickbait I remind you that it is a 2000-2001 game. Then I don't know how you played it, it is a game that can be played at 360, play it at maximum difficulty without radar and you will notice the real essence of this game

This track has seriously subdued and ominous vibes, fit MGS2's initial atmosphere so perfectly!
It's been a year since I played it and this makes me wanna revisit it already...
It's so mischievous and retrospectively fits the twists of the endgame. It's a good sneaking theme but also makes you think you're being sneaked on yourself, like a double-sided sword; which, again considering the end, is true.
I listen to this song on my headphones when I spray the sewers in senior communities. As loud as it is I try to be quick and stealthy, get out of there before they can come outside and complain about something. I'm sure I've triggered many seniors to say, "Huh? What was that noise?".

This soundtrack sounds almost incomplete with intermittent beeping of the bombs you had to find and deactivate. It's also missing the sound of all the snoring guards that you tranq.

Those darn guards in Strut E must have found me a thousand times. I hated that room until I got a suppresser for my SOCOM. Normally I play MGS pretty pacifist, but I made an exception for those guards

My summer of 2002 was playing MGS2 Substance. This theme is so nostalgic for me.
I think I finally sat down like, 3 years after release to finally beat the godang thing when I was 15 (was also just the original game). I think it was during summer also. Marathoned the game while playing it on my grandparents ginormous 40 inch tube TV in the living room til the wee hours of the night/early morning. What a memory, especially the after credits.

Me getting back to this theme every time I play GRW Operation Watchman & I heard Sam Fisher farewell to Snake.
One thing to note is that this track doesn’t play when you play as Solid Snake. So it doesn’t have much to do with the character.

Lol probably not, they're evil incarnate. I remember stepping in a nest in the woods once. It was covered in leaves, must have fallen out of a tree. They chased me a good hundred metres before they gave up and I got stung to shit. 2/5, wouldn't recommend.
