I don't buy it, you shouldn't fire a coach in the middle of a season I don't care if it's after a win. It's a bad look, it has to make the next guy think "is this how they'll do me?"

Wasn’t lightning bud. So everyone that wins a natty except for bama I guess, catches lightning in a bottle? LSU has more nattys than clemson, Ohio state, OU, UGA, Texas and Auburn since 2000. So everyone catches lightning? Orgeron put that team and staff together and it worked, it also worked since he took over in 2016. He isn’t a good head coach at all, an good not great line coach and a great recruiter, but it wasn’t lightning in a bottle. They had some luck that year and beat the hell out of the two in the CFP. Sometimes it works for others than bama.

Orgeron simply maxed out his talents at LSU! As a fan, I appreciate the 2019 natty, but as a coach, he's simply plateaued. We (LSU) needs to bring in someone who can consistently maintain a successful college football program rather than trying to recreate the 2019 glory days.

He believed he ego is bigger and better then the school its self and now he knows its not. All he had to do is stay humble and hungry not post pictures of him ( 60 year old man ) and a 20 year old college girl, or put down the coaches that work for him when he himself doesn’t know anything about X’s and O’s. Yes he won a title one title but your not on Saban level so don’t act like it by putting your foot in your mouth and knowing you can’t back it up and as a father of 20’s year old daughters I’m glad his creepy old *** is fired and will no longer be the face of the beloved Tigers Country!!

Particularly with Michigan calls MSU little brother… Sabin for started in Midwest. Can’t forget Toledo his first HC job. I will say his greatest work not in titles but in bringing MSU up to respectability in B1G was difficult with the monster Atm Michigan was going 34-24 was a major accomplishment in turning program around when he left mark datonio took it to another level. Sabin traveled to LSU to escape the monster known as Michigan. He built a power house in Baton Rouge gaining LSU a national title before taking flight to the nfl Dolphins found out he didn’t have total control in Davie, FL he soon jumped ship once again. Side note remember belichick at Cleveland Sabin was his defensive coordinator. That’s how he hit the Toledo job. Alabama and Sabin were a natural fit after a few years of struggles and recruiting cycles something strange happened Alabama started resembling Wallace wades program once again. A devestating efficient power house on the rise. Bryant has the noteriery but Wade is one who built the programs legacy from Beginning snd Sabin has raised that bar a notch higher.somewhere both Wallace and bear are smiling down on sweet Lou. Georgia may be ranked one but does anyone think they can score 35 points against Alabama it will take that many points to beat the rising tide! Tide has lost three games in three years each by three points and Texas am was lowest scoring game of them.

There are many coaches who can come to LSU and win 8-10 games a year, but, that won't get you past Alabama and Georgia. If it's Bama and Georgia you want to be an equal competitor with then you have to hire a really good / smart coach and spend like Bama, which spends more than any college in America on its football program. They have the best team money can buy, plus a great coach Saban.

The biggest mistake for LSU would be to rush into a new hire, They have plenty of time no need to rush HONESTLY i dont why any coach would want the job, There must be bigger issues at LSU, ISSUES BEHIND THE SCENE THAT ARE NOT IN THE PUBLIC EYE. But the fact remains COACH O JUST WASNT GETTING IT DONE WHEN A COACH LOOSES THE RESPECT OF HIS PLAYERS AND THE FANS AS WELL, THEY ARE DONE AND ITS TIME TO MOVE ON FOR THE COACH AND THE SCHOOL,LETS BE HONEST COLLEGE FOOTBALL IS A BUSINESS NOW THE DYNAMICS OF THE COLLEGE GAME HAS COMPLETELY CHANGED
If you are not winning you wont be there long especially with the major teams in the country
I wish coach O the very best hope he can get his personal and private affairs together and maybe end up coaching again as an assistant somewhere else i think he has some football knowledge to share with young players, I dont think he was ever head coach material but he was at one time a good assistant.

@Haunt he can recruit , he is a short time stay, not lifer like Saban. He was good at USC. Ole Miss over his head. LSU he was better than Miles. He good four years. He got hit hard from Covid last year. Lot his kids left early.

I said this two years ago: Orgeron caught lightning in a bottle in 2019 and that he only got that national title because of Burrow, the receivers he had, and Joe Brady. After they all left, it was going to be impossible to replicate or even keep up with what they did that year. Couple that with the fact that there’s a seriously toxic culture at LSU, which was and is predicated on the coaches and people in charge and it’s no surprise things went to this point.

Who recruited all those players and coaches stupid? No other coach would’ve ever thought about Brady and a west coast with a dual threat like orgeron did😂 I bet you weren’t talking shit after they threw that last TD pass versus Clemson now were ya?

@@coreyrogers5358 lightning in a bottle bud. That year…that ONE year, they put it all together and they were phenomenal. But you’re obviously one of those fans who was pissing into the wind, thinking LSU would it even could sustain that level. Don’t hate me because what I said was right. Just admit it and move on.

Title is bullshit they didn’t fire him. They reached a separation agreement and he’s finishing out the season as head coach and not returning. If they fired him he’d be gone right now and they’d have an interim HC. Was the clickbait title worth your 4.5K views?
