Its honestly really interesting that they made it this dynamic for a fight that usually doesn't take you that long. My guess is that they did this to make it so you never felt comfortable in there as the constantly changing music makes everything feel new and unknown.
@Seven&Zmoore Do not even turn on any of the light bulbs except for the tutorial one at the cave entrance. Just start building the bridge over to the big one. Turn on the big one only, so the Vehemoth Phosbat can always be attacked, without triggering the Phosbat Pods.

I love when all of the instruments come in after the entire cave is lit up, as if it’s the sounds of the panicking phosbat’s brain as it tries to comprehend the extreme light while still trying to devour the pikmin in front of it. It’s that perfect mix of the soft and unnerving track turning into a bombastic symphony and the eerie nature of the instruments turned almost triumphant that makes the final charge on the phosbat so satisfying in my books.
I love how the Double Bass, Cellos and Tubas all get a solo together at 2:52 , 3:35 , 5:45 , 6:28 , 8:38 , and 9:21 ! It really sells the gravity and eeriness of the intense atmosphere! The Tubas and the brass section really start belting out the notes at 11:36 , while the timpani starts hammering out the driving percussion! All and all, a really unique adaptive piece with incredibly engaging and driving bits! Note: The Celeste detune slides at the bridge(s) of the song at 12:03 and 12:59 along with the tension building drumline really build unease and the hurriedness and panic-driven actions of the player as well!

The instruments start adding up And when youre in the light, its almost like a lullaby making you want to stay in the light And when you turn the last bulb, the Phosbat starts panicking and does anything to turn the fight on you, even though it probably knows its futile. It tries it's best to escape and defend itself as the predator becomes the prey

This is the most complex pikmin song ever. With the happy jingle in the light and dangerous sounds when the phosbat is near. Pikmin 2 also had complex music with olimar and louie differences and health
As much as I love how you did this, as this is my favorite song in the game, you kinda got the layering wrong. When you’re in the light, and the phosbat is far away, the light and dark melodys play together, then when the phosbat is close the dark melody is overtaken by the percussion. In addition, if you’re in the dark and the phosbat is nearby, wether or not it’s chasing you, the percussion completely takes over, basically as a warning that it is about to attack. That being said, the fact that you’ve gotten the melodies in the right order, and that you’ve compiled everything at all is worth major respect.

I remember doing this fight as a kid, I just spammed pikmins to the air with no thought into it...Yeah I reached extinction that day. I really love to visit back the soundtrack this game has to offer. At first it's not like much...But when you REALLY give it a chance, it shines.

When I replayed the game I maxed out the volume on my game pad to hear all the music. This was really nice to hear all the ins and outs while playing and fighting it
Listening to this on half speed is so creepy. The track already makes the phosbat feel like an ominous lurker, but 0.5x speed is straight up unsettling. EDIT: typo
@@olimar12345 oh, kinda late response here, but just in case if you're not aware already, I've recently found out that the "Menu Open" part of the main boss theme plays when the scornet maestro is using its "Mouth harp" to command the scornets.
@@parakeeter5370 I just did that and was so confused I speedrunned the first two bossfights on the first two days not on purpose, but my first playthrough was a refresher, and I wanted to get more fruit the second time. I was really confused when the phosbat crashed into the light while it was off!
I did it by complete accident, I knew the normal way to defeat the boss was to turn on thr big bulb, but when I defeated it sooner, I was very confused.
Normaly you almost never hear the: In the Dark versions of the Track, since you mostly never going to spend that much time in the Dark (Unless youre a NightMan). And honestly, can you blame them?
