Chasing wind: A fan Rain World motion comic

- This is an pseudo continuation on my previous Thalassophobia video, going more in depth into my interpretation of the character Chasing wind! exploring some of the stuff that was left implied in that original video and even some extra stuff along the way too! Hope you can enjoy!
some sounds where taken from random youtube royalty free sfx videos as well as rain world itself.

FUN FACTS
- Chasing wind once said: Its wind chasing time! and wind chased all over the place!
- There was an entire scene cut from the video! instead of the dry cut at the end, there was going to be a psicodelic like scene depicting grey's pov of a malfucntion similar to moon's, with very intense red and black crudely drawn visuals and accompanying sound effects, I even made all the art for it! I decided to go with the dry cut since i felt like it was a lot more brutal despite not showing anything.
- The final song that plays, the remix of pictures of the past, actually was cut! it had a bit for the malfucntion segment ( which i wasn´t intending on using due to it being more funky than dreary ), and would then end shortly after.
- Chasing winds arm actually connects using magnetism! thats why there is no stich. Cw just did not feel like making the other sleeve, probably to honor their creators or something.
- I also originally thought of having a scene of chasing wind confronting Ui more directly, but decided not to, since i wanted to keep Ui a more misterious character.
- a small thing that came across my mind, why didn´t Cw's arm get rusty or break over all those millions of years? well, i think they are just that insanely resistent, moon can just survive the rain without much problem can´t she?
- I am more on the side of iterators having somewhat organic parts to them, like their segments having a layer of skin on top of them, I think Cw wouldn´t have that if it was the case, they are just that much of an older model.

Aluminium is very corrosion resistant, could be built outta that. It would make sense.
Well Moon seems to have a small layer of plastic over her body, so it's nice to touch like human skin. Cw could have that too.

It is important that the rot was an accident and suns did not send a blue print for robocancer
@@Gront517 in the wiki at least it says that suns sent a prior version of Spear master with the gold pearl with the instructions that would lead pebbles to make what would become the rot. The rot is still an accident here, and the accident can still be linked to srs. Is the wiki wrong???

@@fragil2554 you misunderstood, it was supposed to be a organism that would genetically modify him into being able to quickly kill himself. The only way to obtain this creature however was to have a mold with C.R.I.S.P.R. Which is a real scientific protein. If it was mutated correctly it would remove his suicide taboo. It was also a rare mutation so in order to get it he either needed a lot of time or a lot of parallel processes(witch requires water) and he choose the latter and stole it from moon. And she disturbed him with forced communications leading to his failed experiments going loose and the rot eating him.
Rivulet really said "It's rivuletting time" and rivuleted all over the place.

CW was built in a large body of water, being one of the first iterators, that makes sense. It would also make sense that they would be one of the first to fall from "natural" causes.
I dont know if it was the intention or not (prob not considering the F.F.) but the way Rivulet gazes apon their chamber makes them look like THEY were the cause of it

For some reason i like to believe that Chasing Wind and Seven Red Suns are talking on VRchat or something during that first scene.
tbh i bet the ancients coulda made all-sense vr. and built in vr for iterators. i wonder why they didnt. the solution wouldnt of taken like 16042414 cycles to make bc the iterators would be happier :3

I really love how you use grey as a color. It makes the crumbling place much harsh and dim while also colorful at the same time.

I never played Rain Workd. But man, at the span of 8 minutes, I grow to care about this gigantic robotic being.

custom iterator vox? And new music with motifs of ingame songs, but still in the "sound" of the OST?
And the way the text and general artstyle fits perfectly in with RW??
I especially loved the custom "projector" stuff around 6:00, seriously looks like it could have come right out of the game, it's done so well

very well made! the fact you have custom music too (as musician myself i absolutely LOVE custom soundtracks for youtube projects) is the Gooieduck on top! personally not the biggest fan of the artstyle but still very well illustrated, just not to my personal taste. amazing work

Jokes aside, what i like the most about this is the way it reflects that humanity side of iterators - both in the best and worst way. Like sure, they were all purposefully created with a unique mindset to achieve different results for The great problem, but the fact some of them are capable of feeling empathy and care is what makes their whole situation more heartbreaking, at least it is for me

@@Stupidityenthusiast my personal interpretation is that things don’t actually come back like that. You die and leave that world, and are born in a different timeline that is exactly the same as the previous by the start of the cycle. Otherwise, how did artificer’s pups die?
