I handpicked pineapple chamomile (the kind that grows low on the ground in driveways and other gravel areas), made a tea, and put it on my medium brown-haired daughter's hair. I left it in for a couple of hours, then rinsed. It was at least shade lighter, had a beautiful honey glow. That is my only experience. I don't remember how long it lasted, but it was very impressive.
Writing from Turkey. camomile treatment is something we do every summer. İt depends on the hair of course but it works for sure. But we apply it and dry it under the sun perhaps that's the trick. And we apply it everytime after shower for a week or more , it makes more interesting results.
Thank you for sharing 😊 I was leaving the hair on the sun until it was dry and even reapply the chamomile a few times during one session. But still the results not satisfying. Maybe it needs to be done for a longer period of time. And to be honest Turkish sun vs English sun, no comparison 🤣
The internet had me convinced chamomile tea would lighten hair on its own, but even with a combination of real chamomile infusion + 3 months in the sun it was barely changed. Good video, good experiment.
I could see a difference in the chamomile strand, and I can also see the difference in my hair when I apply it. It doesn't actually lighten, but it brightens the strands. They have a more golden tone. Thank you so much for her video, you did a great experiment!
Thank you so much for this upload, and for sharing the results of the experiment! I agree with your opinion on the findings- there was no significant effects of lightening, although the strand treated with chamomile did have an increased gold tone shine. Many years ago I dabbled with experimenting with natural remedies (including chamomile) to lighten hair as an alternative to bleach, but never stayed consistent with them because I wasn't seeing results. I also wasn't patient enough to continue using them for months on end without knowing the basic end results and if my time and effort would justify continuing with the process. Videos like these are VERY HELPFUL for those of us who want to have at least a rough idea on what kind of realistic results we can expect. Thank you SO MUCH! 😊
There is a girl from Colombia who made a video on hair lightening-hair-journey just using hair lightening masks. She went from brunette to blonde. It can be done. You need months and patience. I will link the video for you as soon as I can :)
@@dontruinmyvibe2 I just rinse my hair with the camomille tea and I dont rinse it out I leave it my hair it doesn t smell bad but u have to pay attention to ur clothes camomille tea can ruin them for me I use a tshirt and wrap my hair befor blow drying it heat also help to activate the camomille lightening effect

Thank you for the suggestion 😊 Yes I have plans to try some methods to darken the hair and to make them ginger as well. Unfortunately this type of experiments take time.
What needs to be said, that warmth also Matters... To activate haircoloure to work better you add Heat! And If you should go sleep with camomile under a towel, or hat... the heat of the scalp will ad to the process! There is Always a slight warmth radiating from the scalp & under the towl the hair will be wet way longer! ❤❤❤

I didn't try on dark brown hair. If I will be able to still some natural dark hair from someone I will test it 😜 The 6 % hydrogen peroxide may work on dark hair, however you need more time to see any results. Also I recommend to try a few times on one strand of hair before you apply on your entire hair.
I have black hair and after using chamomile it's still black 😂😂😂... seriously though, in mexico we have a shampoo for babies with chamomile. It does help to lighten hair. You just have to use it daily. So probably infuse it into your shampoo?
Haha :D Yeah, with chamomile you probably have to use it in shampoo, as a hair rinse and spend a lot of time in the sun. Then it might work, but I'm not sure if it does anything for black hair. Plus the Mexican sun definitely lightens hair better than the English sun :D

Maybe it worked because it was fresh and not dried ?
I love the scientific approach to this experiment!
Thank you 😊
I m from Greece and my hair get lighter in the summer cause of sea baths ,salt and the sun.Your sample with chamomile was more golden ,indeed.
I'm jealous that you have so much sun 😉

@@LoBelia-NaturalCarewhat if the difference is: bags vs real flowers? Tea bags use smaller parts of the flowers, so less strength.

There was lots of heat during this experiment from the sun. But still not much changed in the colour.

I used baking powder, it did lighten slightly after just one use
I'm a bit scared of using baking soda on my hair. Does baking soda dry out your hair?

Yes, that's what I'm thinking about it too. But that's not enough change to use chamomile on my hair. Too much effort and too little effect.
Did u try fresh chamomile?
No, only dry flowers.
What about lemon is it works
I checked lemon in this video: ruclips.net/video/v2LdSLnlkLQ/видео.html
