- We got a call from someone who had flopped their XJ on Hells Gate Obstacle on Hells Revenge Trail. We headed out with Ol Blue and Trailmater but when we got to the gas station Trailmater was blowing coolant out so we had Shawn run back and grab Wile E while Mike and I went out to look at the situation. We definitely needed 2 rigs to get the angles for the pull right. After getting rigged up and in place we flipped it back over and pulled it out. After checking all fluids and everything we got it started and they were able to continue on with their day. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us.

With you a 100% on this comment! I routinely skip over sections when the music starts. Last thing I want when I come to a channel about 4-wheeling is annoying mood music. I've unsubscribed from channels and banned them over it.

Honestly, taking a road trip out to the shop just to talk to Mike, Shawn, and Rory sounds like a fun time
I drove out to the shop and got to talk to Sean and picked up some merch, he's an interesting guy.
and Chris. I think its great that they are going to have a merch shop on site now and that Chris will be there. And Wow I can't believe how big Lilly is getting. You do great keeping her off camera as much as you do Rory. Sometimes on is enough, doesn't need to be always on.
Definitely making a point to meet them in person. Rory's channel has helped me through the dark times💥💚❣️

You really have to admire how much the guys all trust each other to get up into spots like that.
I didn't see any black up past the first bit . And from our perspective it looks undoable.
I was there watching this recovery while me and my friends were waiting to give it a go ourselves. It was great entertainment and you guys did an amazing job

30+ years ago, my younger brother, who is a heavy vehicle mechanic, was sent on a heavy vehicle recovery course run by the Australian Army. One of the tasks involved the task of getting a fully loaded articulated tanker back on its wheels. It was upside down in a giant sand pit. 2 wreckers, one on each side and very careful rigging. Not allowed to damage the vehicle. It had to be partially tipped back, but had to be balanced at a 45% angle for 10 minutes to prove you had total control of the recovery.

30+ year's ago I went through recovery training in the US Army. I found recovery fun for the most part, just depended on the weather, the worse the weather the more dangerous the recovery was...also if people were shooting at you.

Rory didn't have the luxury of sand ( but a lot lighter vehicle) but the tires slip on the rocks at that angle. It would be cool to see the recovery your talking about✓

No yelling, no drama, no BS. Just professionals doing the job. And that's the highest compliment I can pay.
Notice the minimal but effective communication between them on the roll over recovery...They know what Rory was doing, Rory knew what they were doing, and most importantly, Rory knows what he's doing.

The guys all work soooo well together and have such great attitudes ( even in TERRIBLE situations ) there's no reason whatsoever why they shouldn't be more popular with the whole off-road community.

Amazing how little damage occurred getting that XJ out of it's predicament. This one was not recovered, it was rescued.

Rory in my opinion this video gives new meaning to creative winching. Your original plan was to use TrailMater but that changed because of problems so you used willyE instead and was able to safely get it out of there without more damage.

OMG. I see where you take your vehicles and I wouldn’t even want to ride with you in most of the places. Shawn that was impressive where you drove the jeep for an anchor point.
Right at the point where Mike was telling Shawn where Rory wanted him to go, I was expecting a 'He wants me to go where?' Nope, Shawn just asks Mike if he can lock the hubs then away he goes. It's too bad that cameras don't do justice to angles, because that was something. This crew is amazing at what they do.

The upside down Cherokee recovery is a perfect example of the skill and teamwork Rory, Shawn and Mike use everyday for this kind of work.

That was the smoothest and softest flip I've seen in ages. The XJ is surprisingly in great shape and can wheel again because of the skill and care given by Rory and the team...nice work folks.
as a firefighter in central Nebr, we were taught to lace our ropes or stuff them into a bag, we also laced all power cords
I met Shawn and Mike at EJS last year very nice and humble guys.
You great fellas are all, definitely a little below a quarter tank, but that's exactly what we love about you. Real, as real gets!!! I can't wait to meet you all someday. Little Lilly excluded, of course! She's as bright as the sun!!!

My Dad had a fuel gauge for his Volkswagen only he used part of a yardstick! Same principle, same results! I had forgotten that piece oh history until you reminded me. Thank you!
We always used an old bulk tank stick from the farm 🤣
In aircraft, fuel gauges only have to be accurate at ”empty”. So, I think we can say Rory built that to FAA standards!

All that weight above the roof certainly cuts in to the margin of error for avoiding roll overs.

One of the finest recoveries I've ever seen. The amount of care and calculation is very impressive. Not many people have the knowledge to do that without a rotator today. You almost did it without a scratch. And the parade with Lilly was the best. Happy belated 4th of July to you guys and your family.
