Hey Steve, Try this first change on the tools right change smash into hold and then pause the game, hold everywhere close to the ship you can hold for more than a minute could be, because less than a minute will cause no effect, and then after for a minute release it, and then continue the game. See what happens, the hold's power became very strong! :O

i am extreemly happy that i got to see an almos exact replica of the titanic cras.. sink. ship 2 was it! it split in half, was still parttialy atatched to the back, draged the back half down a little, detached, the back half stuck almost straight up, and went down. the only thing it was missing is that the back half was to far in the water before it wt down. i never ever get to see a ship split and it is stall attached!

Nope, that's something within the game that we can't really fix since we don't have a developer.
