f u w3ar32rf Scott Travis in Judas Priest does it too. It's just a fun little technique to take the strain off of one hand playing more notes or beats than another. (I'm a drummer btw)
thanks for the lesson cam. i can play drums, but nowhere near calling myself a drummer, and i've never seen it before. i was blown away enough that iron maidens drummer doesn't play hallowed be thy name with two hands lol.
