In 1990, Ivan Rebroff gave a concert in our city. That evening I went to the cinema with my buddies. Suddenly a black limousine with tinted windows stopped and someone turned down the rear indow. It was Ivan Rebroff. He was actually wearing his fur hat and kindly asked for the way to the church (where the concert took place). Those were just 10 seconds of my life, but I'll never forget this and his steady but voluminous sounding voice.

I don't know or understand the technical aspects , I simply love his beautiful powerful voice , especially when singing sacred music , like this timeless piece remembering the mother of God . We are so fortunate to be able to listen so easily and frequently. Thank you.

5 octaves? Minni Riperton, Whitney Houston, larissa Dolina Mariah Carey, dave lee roth, axel rose (believe it or not even a bit more then 5 (5 and 3 notes) and worse.. Mike Patton has a range (had) of 6 octaves!! and the list is acual a bit longer (more then a bit) (Adem Lopez and Demas both 6+ range) Ivan Rebroff went from F1 to A5 so thats a little short for 5 octaves but close enough to be very very impressive One I nearlly forgot to mention yet is one of my favourites.. Barry Gibb (beegees) a stunning A1 - G♯5 so thats just over 5 octaves... falcetto who can beat that:)

J ai emmene ma fille (15ans) le voir à la cathédrale de sens quelque mois avant sa mort. Un grand moment pour nous deux. Le seul regret ne jamais pouvoir le revoir chanter.
Adieu Monsieur Yvan Rebroff ! Mon plus grand regret est de ne jamais avoir pu voir ce Grand Monsieur en vrai car je l'aimais beaucoup . Hélas, sa dernière tournée ne passait pas par Paris ! Cet immense artiste est mort oublié par la profession, c'est bien triste !

There are fabulous singers from all over the world, some Russian, some Italian, some German (among many, many others) For example, listen to Kurt Moll....another German with an utterly beautiful sonorous voice!

This man has a unique 5 octave voice range, I know of no other that has this amazing voice capacity.
I think it's 4 octaves. But still impresive and unique, and not to mention beautiful.
