So glad to see this awesome figure and glad you are one of the few people who know that the Germans took that symbol from something good and made it evil.
Always wondered about these, thanks for the info. I appreciate this more than the Pretenders. The shells were just two-halves that stuck together and the internal robot was all plastic. The catalogues and packaging of Machine Robo were gold. Love the Pro Truck Racer featured in the catalogue. One of my favorite MR's ever.
The symbol is really old. And it's presented all over the world: Asia, Europe, Africa and both Americas. It predates WWII hundreds, maybe thousands years.
oh man thanks Josh! that figure is quite charming and quirky. It reminds me those times I would go into China town or flea market as a kid. I would see all these weird toys, most of them Ko's. They were a complete mystery and I would try to memorize what I saw and try to go home and draw it. If I was lucky i got one to take home.
oh man, I forgot about Thunderbirds! never watched these shows so i’ll have to check it out. also missed what year this toy is from. thanks for the video!
1:36, same thing happened with Yu Yu Hakusho where a character has this but was removed due to the same problems. I got this with the Power Riser for the Battlehackers toyline. The Battlehackers show had Patricia and Mia White piloting the Power Riser at times. I know the toyline doesn't have them both so what I did was I had some toy parts, got a Fumina Hoshino Figure-rise model kit and edited and painted her to make her look like Mia White and she's still with me till this day. 5:01, TF and GI Joe? Those are Takara shows?! 5:36, Duocon-like. The Triple changers will come later on in BH as mentioned. 8:44, reminds me a bunch of Ryukendo when the hero combines with their flying machine. 9:13, luckily Discotek Media has both ROC and BH as available on discs with Eng subs. Would love to see Soryumaru and a new Machine Robo line with these Karate Robos.
@@Hubert79 I know its not the ACTUAL Nazi symbol but it just funny say it, im pretty sure its not actually a putty solider as well. Plus he turns into a dark color tank which kind of on the nose dont ya think. Would have made people really bat an eye if it was on the outside of it as well
