Actually, lead in gasoline was used as a lubricant for valve train components in older engines. Then they started using hardened valves and seats. Also lead will clog up catalytic converters and prolonged exposure can cause cancer. Thanks for the video bud.
Okay okay, it’s a nice video again, you’re comments are on the point, treats me to bring my garage in a better order now and: I’m excited to watch the upcoming video! So stay healthy and tuned and…. excited 😆 greetings from Germany, which turned pretty cold during the last two days.
Yessssss I passed!! 😆 Thank you for the kind words, as always. Stay warm! We have had a very mild winter where I live. I must say, it doesn't bother me too much. Now that I said that - I probably jinxed it!! Alles Gute, mein Freund!
“Before I lose half my audience” “oh they’re gone” lol. I work with the guy who’s the brother of the elderly couple you refer to where you got this tractor from and he led me to your channel!
I learned a little trick working with used batteries at a junk yard. If you have a battery that is completely dead and you can't charge it from 0, just jump it off. Hook it up to a charged battery with jumper cables and let it sit for a few minutes. It will put 1-2 volts on it, and that will be enough for the modern chargers to do their thing.
LOL. Your project storage area is starting to look like mine. I have picked up a new riding mower, push mower, and generator in the last week. I have 6 riding mower and 3 push mowers now. I had to build a lean to a couple of months ago to keep them out of the weather.
Oh man... I got those probably 15 years ago in a massive tool kit I bought for school. I just did a quick search and these look just like the ones I have! www.amazon.com/GearWrench-203D-Battery-Nut-Pliers/dp/B000NOYRMA/ref=sr_1_2?crid=1H4IYFFRMXQVN&keywords=battery+nut+pliers&qid=1676493418&sprefix=battery+nut+pliers%2Caps%2C182&sr=8-2
I feed chickens and goats everyday plus 3 LGDS at farm and 5 dogs in town, stray dogs come and stay for food lolol Got deer feeder behind shed for them and corn 🌽
I like the metronome electronic beatbox charger better than my boring ass "tinnitus" whine charger. Seeing as you asked for it.. i think the spinning adjustment knob thing on the panel between the seat and the column is the height adjustment, not the pedal. My old husqvarna is set up similarly. Edit: 700 bucks. I felt that.. I bought a yanmar tractor+backhoe that looks like hot trash but runs great. No hood. I looked into getting a hood... saw a big number like that.. now i'm thinking about making a hood. I have an old 100lb LP cylinder that might get split in half.
Hah, that's true - I suppose it has more personality! 😆 Yeah, that makes sense to me. I still need to see how that pedal works. Maybe it does travel vs. mow position?
@@TractorFellaThere are soo many different control variations in the last 30 years on riders. who knows... I always dread getting on something new. That pedal could do anything. Maybe a lift pedal. My pops has a craftsman that is almost IDENTICAL to my husqvarna. Same motor, trans looks the same, same pedals and levers etc. But his hydrostatic and brakes work different. From the same factory. Good luck. Make sure you aren't pointed downhill first time you press it just in case it's a vestigial clutch :-D
Judging by the missing deck, I would assume there was an issue with deck that caused it to be parked. Decks are freaking expensive. I need one for one of mine, so it is currently parked until I find a parts machine.
I have a sister in law who buys a new riding lawnmower every year and she gives me the old one I fix them up and wax them They are sold for high dallor before I even get thru, most have around 25 hours or way less
Those John Deere hoods have a really bad habit of breaking. I don't even have a hood on mine. It got broken when the previous owner had it, and I haven't been able to find one at a reasonable price either. Everyone that does have a good hood wants your first born for it. You can get the mower cheaper than the hood. It's insane.
@@TractorFella I know this is 6 months later when I'm seeing this video so you may have moved on from this project, but if the hood isn't busted up too bad you might be able to just replace the front hood bumper. It's the front plastic part that mounts to the frame then the hood hinges off that. On ebay it's only about $30 for an aftermarket part and depending on the seller it may or may not include the mounting hardware.
Short feedback at 41:32: Aron, you missed the „I’m excited-intermission“ at least twice 😂, you’re getting lazy with this important detail. I will watch the rest now and then the final judgment comes hard as it has to be 🥸🤩😂

Appreciate the info! 👍👍

Haha I cracked myself up on that one when editing 😆
Well I appreciate you stopping by and tuning in! 👍👍🍻
Well done!
Thank you! That was a fun one 😁
you were running around the yard with the lights on I'd say you're charging system worked
Good point. I wasn't sure so I checked because the lights turn on even with the engine off. Thanks!

LOL I'm glad you got a chuckle out of it!! 🤣

Hahah 'atta boy! I can only hope to reach that many treasures 😁
Green dear John engage 💥☄️⚡️ to boldly go where no one’s gone be… oh look a squirrel 🐿️
Hahaha Hit the nail on the head!!
Where did you get those battery nut pliers? I have six riding mowers, so these things would come in really handy.

You're a busy fella!
Missing the front bumper. The hinges for the hood attach to that. Probably part number AM128998. Install, adjust, ride...
I appreciate the info! Thanks! 🍻
@@TractorFella NP. OEM about $70. Knockoff, about $20. All over Ebay and Amazon...
@V1rowt8 - Knockoff it is! 🤣 Thank you 👍🏻

It's funny how they're all similar but different.
Haha thanks for the tip! I'll let you know how it goes 😆
Lol. Aaron is my middle name. That's crazy.
Heck yeah! "We done messed up A-A-ron!" 🤣
It’s my nefnew name and one of our grands son’s name also 😊

That's great information. I'm having trouble parting with it (yes, I'm a hoarder lol) because its a great machine. I'll look into it. Thank you! 🍻
There was very little fuel in there. You probably could have run it if you filled the tank. It would have diluted it enough.
That probably would have been a good idea lol
