    Well done! Another machine saved from the scrap yard and ready for work.

    I think you understand why it was scrapped. It would probably cost $200 at a shop if you could find one to work on it. Many shops won't and others require payment in advance to look at it. Shops have units that people never picked up.

      I do for sure. I can't believe the cost of small engine repair. I mentioned in the episode about the Stihl chainsaw that they wanted to charge me $300+ to fix the oil pump. No way man! Hence - I bought a new saw. Pretty frustrating for all. Good to hear from ya 🙂👍🏻

    Release the 🧐 wait what ? No oil leaks 😳 am I even on the right channel 🤪
    oh wait 🐿️🐿️
    safety clogs, a wandering stick and lots and lots of vibrating dangerously flappy parts 👍 phew all good 🤩
    I love the part where you worry about the weight of the set screw, it might cause vibration 🤣🐿️

      @TractorFella  9 месяцев назад +1

      The oil and gas mixture is kind of cheating... makes it more difficult to spill dinosaur liquid 🤣
      Hahaha you make a very good point about the vibration... Because it's so smooth now, right?? 😁

    Tech tip from 40 yr SEM ( small engines mechanic ) if you have trouble with the points again, put an electronic ignition module on . Stens parts have a good one . Usually don't have to tear it down , just need the ignition kill switch wire that goes to the coil . It comes with instructions.And the carb diaphragm dries out and gets hard and won't function properly. 😊good job I'm just putting a kit in my carb on the same model, only no electric starter 😞

      I like Tech Tips! I'll listen to allll I can 😁 Thank you for this suggestions. I've heard of people doing electronic ignition,, but it's something I've never done. Seems pretty straightforward on this little fella. Good luck with your repairs and happy snow blowing! ❄️

    I wedged a piece of wood between my auger cylinder and the scraper blade. Just enough to bend the plastic housing down just a tad so that it doesn't hit. Just a snug fit while it's not being used. Way, way quieter.

      Ahhhh I like that idea! I'll give it a shot. Thank you!

      @TractorFella no problem man! The first one I had was real bad. I used a heat gun on it but messed it up. It ended up angling the bottom edge down. I pulled another housing off of an S-200 and tried the piece of wood going longways. Now it's how it once was. I use this long block of wood I had laying around the garage. It's not a 2x4 but that should work too.

    This machine has points and condenser for the ignition system the Toro s-200 snow blowers have the points the toro s-620 snow blowers have electronic ignition so they always usually have spark

    They made millions of those units, the engines run forever! The main things that fails is the drum assembly. Bad bushings/bearings. Good job bruh.

    • @TractorFella
      @TractorFella  9 месяцев назад +1

      I couldn't believe the cross hatch was still there on the cylinder! Makes sense about the drum. This one has a bit of play. We will see how she does this winter. Thanks! 🍻

    Surprised that while you had it all apart, you did not check/clean/rebuild if necessary the carburetor. Lucky it did not need it.

      Yep, I took my chances with that one. Good thing it paid off, or I probably would have had to rip it all apart again!

    Hy Aron, the voltage is dependent on the country. I have a snowblower from Husqvarna, bought in an act of silliness in 2019 and couldn’t use it, because we have a gravel yard in front of our home (imagine how fun it makes to throw the stones on the neighbors roof). This electric start works with 220V here in Germany.

    • @TractorFella
      @TractorFella  9 месяцев назад

      Hey Maik! That's great info. I wasn't sure they sold snowblower over seas with electric start or not. Now I know. Thank you for the info! Hope you're doing well! 🍻

      @@TractorFella I am doing well, thanks. Sorry for Tyson with his injury. I am still sitting on the sofa (0:45 a.m. in the night) with my beloved Labrador Sam (3yo). Tomorrow I will have an exam to pass. With my high age of already 56 years, I started to study economics. I owned a company at the age of 26 already and didn’t have the time to finish an academic degree. Now I am learning and having so much fun to complete my lifetime wish. Just to tell you more about me. Another thing: we own another house which we give for rent. My tenants didn’t take care good about the lawn mower that I gave them. So next week I have to address this engine because it doesn’t start. Now I can apply all the knowledge of your channel, Bruce Pender, Tary Dactal, Musti1 :-))

      Know what happened last week? I bought a bucket of paint for my rental house. I put this bucket on the trailer and when I arrived in front of the house and had to cross a small gap in the road the bucket smashed and all the paint poured over the trailer. I am sometimes a clown, can tell you. I learned: warm water with 1/4 of vinegar shall losen the paint from the metal… we‘ll see :-)

      You, Maik, should be very proud of yourself. It doesn't matter how old or young you are. You have accomplished an amazing goal that you have always wanted, and it is going to be so helpful to you. I am very happy for you!
      As for your tenants, I have heard that a rental home can be a very difficult thing to deal with. I bet you'll get that mower running in no time!!

      Oh boy, that is a big mess I'm sure! Great job cleaning it up. I will use that method to clean up my paint mess in the future!

    You really should use SAE tools

      The sizes varied widely on this machine.
      Am I to expect you to critique all of my videos? I'm open to suggestions, but not all machines use SAE tools.
      I appreciate the comments! 🍻

      Older machines are SAE newer ones or metric
