- Black Mesa security force are the primary guards for the Black Mesa Research Center. They can often be seen guarding important entrances or assisting in various tasks around the facility. They are equipped with handguns, which end of being ineffective against many of the Xen creatures! Just like many of the humanoid NPCs that will be included in Half-Life Resurgence, security guards also have a wide range of dialogue and will react to many different things in their environment! Aside from behavior and dialogue they also have many different unique features, including gun holstering, protective helmets and many others! Enjoy!

I think it might be a game mechanic that is tied to the behaviour of the female assassins, since when they jump they start shooting faster.
Its a glock so uh, justified?
If you press right click with the Glock in HL1 it will fire way faster
Funny I seen this in the mod (how the actual heck did that happened?!)
Interesting fact: in the alpha the Barneys were going to go against the sciences and the player.

I'm so excited when the Half-Life SNPCs has been gone through, so that then we would get the Half-Life: 2 SNPCs to see all their features. Why is it exciting? Because this is an VJ Base Official SNPC pack! Also a quick question. Is there going to be a overwatch/combine dropship?
At the moment, no big plans for HL2 other then humanoids

I Really like the alpha guard's death animations more than the normal guard's
Bro, out of HLR's thing.. it would be interesting to see SNPCs from 2d and/or PS2 games.. ex: Valentine from Skullgirls or Sly Cooper xD

Its wierd how all the half-life npcs call you GORDON or FREEMAN
That's how HL is, but I have put an easter egg where some will call you shepard or make references to 2 female characters that were also playable in one of the HL games
The alpha guard look more equiped that the final version but at same time not
You know now that I think it is much better as it was the guard of the Alpha, it represents quite well as would be the reaction and performance of someone facing something for which they did not train him

I find it funny how there helmets protects them from small arms fire, but not their vest.
Also, always find it weird how the pistol used by the NPCs have different sounds than when the player is firing it. I don't think other guns do that.
Its the little details that Valve decided to focus on, it makes each NPCs and weapon unique, recreating them in GMod was not easy but it was fun

Suggestion can you make their helmets sometimes block off bullets like the alien grunts armor?
They don't block, in the lore, they lower the damage, which makes sense

I am having a error where the alien grunt ARMOR is purple
when i spawned a security guard he went full auto on a xen spore lol

MAN barney if i use female player model he tottally flirt with the player

When I kill the alpha security guard it’s gun is more grey then black when he shows his gun it’s black but when you kill him he drops his gun and it looks grey is that a feature in half life alpha or is it made from u guys
That's just how the model is, it's based on original alpha
What add on is he useing for the weapons?

Realistically though MP stands for "Military Police" but it happens to match "Metro Police" as well lol

In Point Of View (a Half Life mod) there are guards that use shotguns and mp5, is it possible to add this feature in a future update?

you can use the vj base npc relationship modifier tool, just make them allied with the player
@@feraudthethird i tried that with a squad of em with scientists and the attacked cause of the engineer putting a sentry that was hostile
@@anomalousbutter5861 well i can't fix that but what you can do is disable ai then make the sentry friendly
Please, can you cut voicelines with names like" Hey Calhoun" and "oh, you have one of new HEV suits"?
In the future I plan to make those lines optional, that way you can toggle it through the customization menu
And make die animations optional too please.
Death animations can be disabled for VJ Base, there is a toggle and it will disable it for all NPCs 👍
