Thanks, it's such an experience to see these classic games again, it's one of the many games that inspired me to go into Games Design, I'm glad you enjoyed the video! :)
Yep, you're right. Gerald Wiegert reclaimed his company and starts to create what could possibly be the world's fastest car that is way faster than the overly-posh Veyron SS. But there's a chance that the project (called the WX-8) is shelved.
Had they kept the American and European cars, the short versions of Rome and Seattle, Rome night, Tahiti road, Red rock valley, the sequel would've been the best racing game ever. But noooo. They had a trillion Japanese cars, and the pal version was so screwed. I mean, four less F1 cars and the lambo was cut... The 911 was deleted.... I can't believe how bad it is... GT3 is one great game and all, but it felt empty. You had a limitless replay value, and yet, it felt so lacking car wise...
GT3 was going to have Bugatti too, but they were cut too. Idk how Polyphony can have so many car companies embrace GT2 than ditch them all in GT3 for many Japanese cars that were mostly already in GT2 itself.
1:12 secretly the best 4-door car in the entire game. it ends up having 371hp at like, 5,000rpm (I think), and like 380lb.ft at 3,600rpm, weighs only 2,500lbs, and that's with full racing parts and a Stage 3 turbo. the Stratus eats Vipers for breakfast, once tuned. stock, however it's lower than garbage. 3,500lbs and it has only 99hp (at the Dodge dealer, it says 167, but once you buy it, it loses 68 horsepower for some reason).
Tarran Sanders the 90's Cougar can actually get over 500hp in this game, oddly enough. it's one of the few real sleepers in this game. plus, with the racing exhaust, it sounds exactly like the Jaguar XJ220, after its fully modified.
+Leif Jensen Also the Cuda is listed as a '70, but it is really a '72. Also the 1971 Plymouth GTX is just listed as "Muscle Car". I even knew that was incorrect back then when I was a little kid, lol.
The Cuda is actually a '70, not a '72. The '72 Cuda had a minor facelift. Also the Challenger here is actually a '72, not a '70 or '71. The year the game lists the car is THE SAME AS ITS REAL LIFE COUNTERPART, YA FEEL ME?!
+WEAPONIZER Global Offensive you re boss for still being intrested in these og games :) 1. acura is basically an american honda 2. i think (not sure tho) that the inntegra dc4 is made by acura first (also vauxhall is an english opel and infiniti is an american nissan if you didnt know aswell)
yeah. well thanks to my dad i got into gaming. he bought a ps1 then cuz he liked it he bought a ps2 and i was reaaaaly into cars and gt4 ahh.. i really dont know what better gran turismo or porn. oh well that isnt even a good comparison xD anyway yeah i loved gt3 and gt4 and i hope gt sport is good.
Acura are mostly luxury + sporty vehicles Honda is just the parent company of Acura as Nissan is to Infiniti and Toyota is to Lexus etc... you get the picture.
Vector never was meant to compete with Euro supercars in the first place. They just make supercars from scratch and their target is American supercar enthusiasts who have at least driven an old supercar (e.g. a Shelby Cobra). But they didn't make the first midship car in history, that title goes to Toyota with their MR2. Said Indonesian entrepreneur was actually making Vector better through some form of trading assets, but Vector didn't accept the offer and that entrepreneur would eventually take over the company until it is bankrupt. And the bankruptcy was by an outside company not owned by the entrepreneur. It went bankrupt only because of the car sales that are way too expensive (at almost 5 million dollars per car as opposed to the quoted 2 million). And about Venturi, another supercar company, it's basically a French ripoff of the Italian Ferrari, right down to even mimicking Ferrari's designs and technologies.
I love those South City cars.
FORD
I miss this game so bad
It'd be great to see a HD remake of this game. I'd buy it!
6:58 = Bumblebee, is that you? (Camaro Z28 '69, Dayton Yellow with Tuxedo Black)
I like the charger, challenger, viper gtsr, copperhead concept, series 1,pronto spyder and the gtx also the superbird and the saleen mustang sr.
Hey! The map in the south city is actually based off of New York!
The Vectors, the Viper GTS and the SVT Cobra '99 are my favourite cars from this city, those are just *_G o d_*
South City was my jam....no other OST was f**kin with this hit right here.

Did you know Matt Damon played Carroll Shelby?
2:08
He was amazing.
He never got to meet him in reality though.

Some of my all-time favorite cars to ever appear in the GT series are in this 'city'. ;-)
I like that Taurus Sho..yeah

2:20 wow imagine that you are a 9 or 10 yr kid and see these models after you have watched Gone in sixty seconds.
If only GT3 had as many cars and added more...
gt4 and 5 dont have this old but gold car TT.TT miss this game so much
I like the camaro ss
Cuz this car is wery cheap and fast and BEAUTYFUL
I find it funny that a '67 Mercury Cougar is dirt cheap in this game compared to even a 2 liter Focus or even those shitty 90's Cougars.
Tarran Sanders the 90's Cougar can actually get over 500hp in this game, oddly enough. it's one of the few real sleepers in this game. plus, with the racing exhaust, it sounds exactly like the Jaguar XJ220, after its fully modified.
I earned the pantheon on my 2nd day playing but I forgot to save so Much for the drag version of the intrepid
you should be playing on psp on this game. Theres no way theres visual texture like that in the ps1 game
yes
67'/68' shelby gt500
it only appeared in this game :(
Always bothered me that they called the '70 Challenger a '72. In Gran Turismo 6 they also call the 2012 Charger a 2011.
+Leif Jensen Also the Cuda is listed as a '70, but it is really a '72. Also the 1971 Plymouth GTX is just listed as "Muscle Car". I even knew that was incorrect back then when I was a little kid, lol.
Matthew Butler I forgot about that too. Also annoying. But still a great game and great memories.
+Leif Jensen Yes, so many great memories! I can't wait for the next installment of Gran Turismo. I am looking forward to the future nostalgia :)

Hansen Sebastian Not sure if trolling, or just stupid.
What kind of music would you say this is?
There's Jazz, and then theres Gran Turismo.
I want it Cry!
Wait 11k for a Challenger?!
Haha, i really loved that brand.
what is the difference between honda and acura? both of them look the same :)

Vector. It was created to compete with European supercars... until an Indonesian entrepreneur ruined it by making the company bankrupt :)
