"The Nissan Micra isn't particularly exciting or stylish, but it's easy to drive, surprisingly spacious and cheap."
I dunno what it is with British reviews. There obsessed with Ford Fiestas. They could be reviewing a Scania truck and be like "bUt tHE iNTerIOr iS quITe dIffErEnT To tHE FoRD FiESta!!!"
Ford Fiesta is a good car, but you don't have to mention it in every second sentence of other cars' reviews... ;)
Such a biased website to the Ford Fiesta. I drive this exact car and it's amazing. Only issue is it feels like it's going to roll over during tight corners. Other than that it's a great car :)
change the tyre to 185/55/R15 (I got a 15 inch alloy wheels on mine) and you can feel the difference.
Stevezftw it's true they are soooo biased towards the Ford Fiesta I thought I was the only one that noticed. I love this little car and I passed my test in a Ford Fiesta.
HNRichard yep and the car was lowered too :)
Just done over 100k miles and never had an engine fault , only 1 lot of brake pads changed! Solid bodywork, involved in a major accident with no hope of car being repaired, was wrong(4/5 layers of panels on the body chassis)! Expect around 20 years plus to last with regular servicing! Good acceleration in 3rd gear - 55 mpg and low insurance!
@@deansinger299are you talking about the Micra ?
It will still be running perfectly when the fiesta is a rusty wreck in a scrap yard..these cars go on and on and on and have a cute fun personality ..did I mention they go on and on and on ...........
I have owned my 2014 Micra over 3 years it was a pre-reg with 7 miles on the clock it now has 14300 miles on the clock it developed a fault after two new tyres were fitted at a tyre centre nissan dealers charge to much the nissan dealer retracked the front wheels and informed me I now need a new rear beam axle , I contacted Nissan UK after two weeks they decided it could not be proved whether the fault was caused by potholes or speed humps I am now facing a repair bill for a new rear beam axle £1000+ nissan dont care about their customers so beware when you buy from nissan you do so at your own risk my car now suffers bad vibration throughout the car is therefore non-drivable until I acquire the funds to pay for repairs.
I love their reviews, but I think they could take a cue from Cooley over on Car Tech and spend a touch more time on the technology inside the care. I'd like to know their feelings on the usability and features of the sat nav, not just if it has it. Cooley does a great job highlighting the pros and cons of car technology. They don't need to completely rip him off, but maybe a little?
It' s the cheapest car sold in Canada . The micra is dull and very basic but for those who just expect a cheap and decent vehicle to go from point A to point B it' s perhaps a good choice .
In Mexico, for some absurd and concealed reason, we don't get most models with the same security levels. The Micra here has 6 airbags, while we get it with only 2 (it's called "March" here). I wish I knew why, at least, but it bugs me
Because airbags are deadly for people shorter than 145 cm...
Not a bad car, one correction is that only the base model has a one piece rear seat (there are 4 regular trim levels, Visia, Acenta, n-tec and Tekna), all other trim level get a 60/40 split seat (interestingly this is a one up from baee Accenta with the optional Nissanconnect 2).
personally I wouldn't touch the base model and it looks and feels cheaper inside (less chrome in and out, black plastic mirrors and door handles, no fabric panels on the front doors), has no air-conditioning, front fog lights or cruise control, only the bottom glove box and only has the smaller 14" steel rims (all others get 15" alloys).
Not a bad little car, much better than Citroren's, Peugeot's, Renault's and Dacia's attempts!!!
The headlamps remind me of the ones on the toyota aygo
i like how they still must point out that it comes with ABS
Her voice sounds like a younger version of Sarah Beeny who does the home improvement programmes on Channel 4 in the UK.
Reminds me about the old sunny: A very reasonable car, just like it is reasonable to give your mother-in-law a lift to the shop.
Just not sth you get all exited about to do so....
roll down windows? what are we in? the 90s?
0:23 the boot is decent size
if you mean her booty you're absolutely right
Does that country EVER warm up? here we are in Mid May and she still needs a jacket.
Its like 22 degrees celsius today, thats pretty hot
Then these videos must be filmed in the coldest area of the UK!
Just the bad days, we have bad weather maybe 4/7 days a week but thats what makes our daily lives interesting here
It's wasrm right now, dunno why she has a jacket
Hahah, you say that yet these past few weeks, Britain has had the highest temperatures throughout the whole of Europe including the Mediterranean. 32 degrees it hit, and this august is supposed to be the hottest in 100 years.
It seems to be a great city car!
I like it.
P.S. Some shots are too fast!
It looks tall with a high centre of gravity so you should be able to roll it easily!
I purchased a pre reg one of these in Black , in August 2014 looks improved getting rid of the ugly silver wheels and swapped them for Black matching wheels but nearly two years old offered peanuts in part exchange at a nissan dealer . I wont ever buy another nissan .
does the previous 2013 model have a cruise control (before lifting)?
Do they day time running lights
Prices are on par with the Fiesta??? Park this next to a similarly priced Fiesta and see how many takers you'd get it would be a dream for Fords marketing dept!!
Guess which one goes to the garage first.
It is called Nissan March in Brazil.
GOOD REVIEW & GREAT CAR.
It looks to be a cross between the mark two & three in looks.
It's a good car for grandparents
Lol the LCD screen indicating the aircon temp is already broken.
that's cause the Video Camera has Polarized lens, to aid filming in bright sun conditions. The LCD is just fine with the naked eye.
Why is she testing in the Whatcar test track? Are Carbuyer and Whatcar the one company?
Matt gets to test Porsche Panamera, while Rebecca is reviewing Miicra?
Not fair ;)
If I didn't give a damn about features, size or fun and lived in town etc then this car would be ok. I don't think I could ever go back to a smaller car after buying my Mondeo TDCI hatch.
My mom using this car. But older generation. In Thailand Ford Fiesta is more expensive than Nissan Micra. In Thailand this car is called Nissan March. In Thailand Nissan Micra cost about £9100 but Ford Fiesta cost about £12,600. There are only 2 French car brand that available in Thailand that's Peugeot and Cotroën.
Euro Ncap 4 stars in 2014 is... well... how to say... shit maybe?
Btw, I never liked Micra and I'll probably never like it :p
Well said...
Getting it in may of june might see it its blue
i wouldnt mind one for a daily car... it would go nice wit the gtir :)
Atleast show the gearbox and transmission..
Your behind looks awesome.
Paul Davies jesus fucking christ
Is this the Juke version in NA?
no, think of it as a bigger nissan versa
Bilal Khan The Micra is much smaller than both the Juke and the Versa/Note.
sorry, dont know why i said bigger, i was thinking smaller.
juke is a different model. canada will be getting this car for the first time this year, but USA will not.
Bilal Khan omaxem79 fabulousprofound
Ok thanks guise! I was too lazy to look it up haha,,
I think Mat should have gotten the Nissan and you the BMW 4 series convertible.
Yes, this is what you really want from a car: for it to be "not that bad"! (read with sarcastic voice)
Next time insert "(read with a sarcastic voice again)" before starting the sentence so that people dont have to re-read it after reading it with a normal voice. kinda ruins the impact of reading it with sarcastic voice.
(wow.... I dont have a life..)
I'm impressed bcz of you I'm ur new subscriber good luck honey
Well, i drove one at the driving school....and i absolutely hate it. It was to floaty, just like if i was drinving a flying carpet. I had the feeling that this car was going to flip over or slip at anytime if i ever have turn hard. And i was feeling very unsafe inside....
nice rear end, the car's is ok too,
New Micra is more comparable with Dacia tbh. I feel like getting the Micra is like an expensive Dacia and you dont see where your money goes.
Did I just see wind down windows in a 21st century car?? Wow Nissan
And drum brakes on the rear wheels...
Harley Lusk Ford Fiesta has drum brakes too:)
Harley Lusk come to my country and you can see so many cars still use drum brakes :)
Welcome to Europe! Everything is an option. I must say I've never ever had use of rear electric windows so I get where they're coming from. As the driver I never sit in the back, and even if I were it's always cold and raining or snowing outside, so it'd be daft to open a window regardless.
Drum brakes are perfectly adequate for a car in this class, and (not surprisingly) you'll find drums on Fords and Kias and Renaults too...
However, I'd pick any Ford or any Kia or even any Renault over the complete awfulness that is the Nissan Micra. How can a car go so many generations and never develop even a hint of style, driveability or air of quality around it. And despite being put together by slave labour in India, it's expensive!
Man, never realised drum brakes were still used that widely. Thanks for letting me know.
I guess it depends on how you use your car. I could understand all the cuts on technology and cheaper materials - only if it was backed up by a reasonable price point.
They still start at £10,000... a bit too much to ask for such a basic car, especially since pretty much all rivals have a 5-star NCAP rating.
The best car ever!
the girl looks cuter than the car ;)
renault once saved nissan, but now the french totally killed it. amen.
This 2014 version is absolutely awful. But the 2017 version looks nice.
You must be cross eyed if you think that models better looking
@@gordonremsey8055don't be fucking mean he has a fucking point it's very nice so stop being fucking serious over a fucking opinion.
Not gonna lie, came for the girl.
Good, optimistic review. Depressing little car.
looks like a yaris thats not a good thing
the upcoming Yaris is somehow exciting for me
Yaris is a great car, grow up
Nissan are falling behind in my opinion. They are still building cars that feel like they were built in the 90's. I sat in one of their modern hatches and it felt so cheap and nasty.
0:57. Mint.
Better if you save some money and buy a ford fiesta, because ford fiesta must be better at quality and way better at driving experience
The EU Micra is better than the one in Canada, that one is made in Mexico
If a Micra is priced similarly to a Fiesta. Who the hell would go for the Nissan?
Who the hell would go for the Ford ? Ford is only good for car mechanics., they remember Ford owners very well.
'Ford is only good for car mechanics' I understood that part then after 'they remember Ford owners very well' what does that mean.
Ford is junk ., statistics of malfunctions and failures on Ford cars are bad., especially they are bad in compare to every Japanese manufacturer.,
ford is unrealiable man... nissan is much more reliable and cheap on parts
Keb Zeb it means that you comeback often to mechanics for repair!! so if you comeback often then mechanics remember persons and type of car (Ford) who comeback!!
Nissan Micra Same Shape Yousof Got
@Rodolfo Navarrete Mexican people are willing to spend less on a small car than Europeans do. That's why the make cheaper cars.
Is she single?
The boot is a decent size for a supermini.
Cute as a button, and the car ain't bad either!
Look like it got only front electric windows.. I better go for Swift..
Why would you pay thousands for a car with no air conditioning. That's just mad.
its 14
Nissan micra needs a great look! thats all it always looks ugly should look like a Vauxhall corsa 2014
This car would out last a ford fiesta hands down
Iam Indian 2011old micra disel driving
0:30 dat boot
that is a nice boot
mmmmmmm lips.....
Good for tall people!
Chip version of mini chooper
if you need parking aid with such a small car you shouldn't be driving. also the micra seems to have fallen behind a bit too much quality wise. wouldn't buy.
Very Nice Review. And also You are Very Beautiful.
this is a duplicated design of the picanto to my eyes!
Are you kidding? Picanto is much smaller
my cuntry call March
Country.
Decent headroom?!
DON'T BE SILLY!
Bakanelli for the size of the car
She is very tiny, the rear seat isn't that roomy
എവിടെ മലയാളി ഉണ്ടോ?
Und bro.. Reviewil parayunath ketto.. 4 star euro disappointing aanenu.. 🤣
Evar indiail vannal 😂
thank God we pronounce the name properly unlike the yanks who call it neesan
ITS TOO LOUD IN HERE
!!
People always seem to say bad things about micras but funny to see so many of them on the roads loool but yh such an ugly car
The fact that Nissan buried my baby Tiida over this awful looking crap is beyond me.
Beautifully contoured body lines. An exciting prospect for any young man, who's looking for something sporty, with a touch of class. AS for the car:- Fill it with bananas & big bottles. Not people.
Crackin pair o cheeks
.... Un Fun Designed City Car ...
Uhhh...I'll pass.
Pewdiepie's review is better😂😂
Uffff!!! I'll rather walk!
The Micra has never been a good car.
And when are Carbuyer going to stop lying about backseat legroom.
What a hottie!
