- Welcome to our Disneyland Paris Vlog Series for 2022. The first vlog in the series is our National Express Wheelchair Accessibility Travel Day, travelling from Blackpool to London via Manchester aboard the National Express.
Until we started researching this trip we didn't know that National Express coaches are fully accessible for those customers with accessibility needs such as wheelchairs.
Join us on our adventure and see how Bex gets onboard the coach. We also take on for the very first time the London Underground utilising the TFL Underground app with Step Free Access mode switched on.
We stay at our favourite hotel chain, Premier Inn and spend the night before heading off to Disneyland Paris.
Find out all about accessibility travel with National Express by visiting www.nationalex...

So much amazing information. So glad you made it safe to your destination. Can't wait to watch more of your trip.
It was such a great journey, something to experience and say we've done! Thanks for watching, next vlog is out Friday and Sunday
This video is so helpful, loved it. Looks like National Express are doing a great job too
Thanks bud, appreciate that, and yeah they are doing an amazing job, theyre staff couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming
What a brilliant start to your vlog journey.
Shame you had ignorant passengers to sully the first leg of the coach run but that chair lift is awesome!
yeah really was great, fantastic that they have this facility and yeah you alwats get someone who's in a rush, but we had fun!
Charlie’s face at the start, bless him. This was defo insightful those that may use national express with a wheelchair user. Not sure I could do that long on a coach, but it’s defo great to know the options. Also regarding your comment about “being kind to the driver”, yeah I could feel that in the vlog. Would they of not been able to let everyone on first? I know people should just be kind and wait, but this could resolve that. Really looking forward to your Disney travel day. Can’t wait to see Charlie’s Face!
The past week leading up to the trip, his first words of the day to us were "is it Disney day yet?!" so the excitement was bursting out of him!
There was one passenger in particular who was a bit rude to the driver, but theres no need for it, just #bekind
Glad you enjoyed it and are looking forward to the next part, Sunday at 4pm
Already liked it! Hurry up! It’s killing me!! X
😍😍😍 im sat editing the next one as I type this!! itll be here soon!
@@3MKUK yayyy!! Can’t wait to see your adventures! X
This has been really helpful. I'm booked in for a National Express Journey in June and it's the first time I've ever seen a lift on a coach. Cornwall to Derby so good to know it looks reasonable comfortable.
Hey! We are so pleased that this was useful to you and we hope you have a fab journey! This was our first time ever travelling by coach with the chair and we were pleasantly surprised how easy and comfortable it was.
@@3MKUK thanks fab. Cost is low too. That's always a plus 👍

I'll assure you that the driver knows it takes a little bit longer for wheelchairs. Its just a shame you get inconsiderate and impatient people. Everyone is entitled to a smashing holiday and I hope you had the very best time. I myself am due to begin my training with NEAT here in Coventry so it's nice to see the Accessability functions in use. I hope you enjoy many more holidays and you never know.......might be driving you one day.
Our driver Alan was absolutely amazing, and yeah you always get someone who isn't happy, but truth be told the driver did say that we weren't going anywhere for a while due to his break, so they were warned/prepared. We would definitely go with National Express again and can highly recommend it to anyone, not just those who accessibility needs. Good luck with your training and yeah would be great to maybe meet you on board one day 😀

lol you had an audience getting on the bus lol but hey, Im not sure if you know but you were driving on the wrong side of the road too LOL Seriously though, this was brilliant!
I wondered what all the honking was for, thought it was people saying hello! 😂
Thank you though, glad you like it
Hey lovelies. New to your channel although follow on insta. I'm a wheelchair user too. I knew National Express did have accessibility but I had never tried because I am like you and too scared to try new things. I must admit the beeping of the ramp I would have to be careful off though as it might set my epilepsy off. So I had to mute the vlog at those times. It makes me feel bad too at the times it take, but I remember that I am entitled to be on the travel as well. The space the for wheelchair is great as well. On some train I don't have enough space. I live in London but again I am too scared to use the tube. I have seen the accessibility maps loads of times but it worries me in case the lifts dont work when i get tot a station and then i cant get out, or people just pushing past me. So i take my hat off to you for going on the tube. Thank you so much for sharing and I look forward to watching more vlogs of your DLP trip.
Hey, so glad you found the channel and the vlogs, theres another one going live tonight at 4. The beeping was very annoying, surely they can switch that off! And of course you're entitled to travel, just as much as anyone! The tube can be scary, its the speed and rush of it that gets me!
Looking forward to seeing the rest of the Disneyland Vlogs! Do you think the experience would be any different with an ECV scooter?
Hope you enjoyed this vlog, we have an accessibility review for the Premier Inn we stayed at out tomorrow from 4PM GMT and our Eurostar one is out Sunday. I dont think you would be able to take a ECV onto the coach due to the operating weight limit of the lift and also the space required to turn around and anchor into the accessibility seat.
@@3MKUK good to know!

What a great vlog! Love how easy National Express was for you. How did Charlie get on overnight? I bet you were all shattered 😴
We have slept and slept since we got back, dont think we'll be having an late nights in the next few weeks!!
National Express made it so easy, absolutely wholehearted looking forward to travelling with them again.
Charlie slept on the way to London, literally fell asleep as soon as we sat down and woke up just before half 5!
@@3MKUK Hi Guys are you back home in Blackpool already? We have been watching your vlogs and still think your in Paris , did you get to see the Tower 🗼?
Hey guys! Yeah we're back 😪 but already planning our next adventure! We've been back about a week. Glad you're enjoying the vlog series, few more to come! Next one is on Wednesday at 5pm.
We didn't get to see the Eiffel tower on this trip, but it's on the cards for next time!
@@3MKUK so glad it worked so well for you! he must’ve been tired from the excitement! 🥰
@@3MKUK Hi we hate coming home it always takes me a couple of weeks to settle back in , look forward to your next vlog
So useful to see the different options for travel, shame that the tube let your journey down at the end, especially after such a long travel day! Can’t wait to see the rest of the trip… we’re ready (for the ride)!
Did you get the halloumi fries though?? Key question 🤣
I need to address something important first....them halloumi fries are awesome!!
To be fair to TFL they have done a lot of work on step free access, just need the rest of the network to catch up
Wonder if the coach can take a powerchair...they often take manuals but not powered. 😞
