Really cool to see how you do it! I produce the same effect by scissoring upper left corner between my index and middle finger. I then keep my wrist completely still and just extend the two fingers really quickly. This sends the card flying out with a lot of spin, producing the boomerang effect. Now, one thing I've started doing is trying to get the card as high as possible, and then trying to catch it. I wonder how high you can go, Rick?

The spin comes from the flick of his wrist. Flicking it harder, while decreasing accuracy, should increase the spin! :D
