This IS a Well done version of " The Sound of Music," and All of the actors were Very Good,Very Professional. I thought the actress " handled " the door not opening correctly did a Fantastic job of eventually opening it,so she could walk into the living room area.BRAVO,to her!!❤❤❤❤
My theater company that I’m in is doing this show for our all age I. July. And I am so excited!! I am 24 but I’m short so I want to try out for Luisa is my first choice then Ragita then the nune ensemble. But I’m hoping for a kid. Also hoping I am in the dance scene because I really want to be in a beautiful ball gown. I love the Sound of Music and one of the reasons I love it is because it is my mom’s favorite musical. So she kinda got us into all musicals, but especially the Sound of Music. She did this show when my 2 oldest sisters were 4&2. I am hoping me my dad and my oldest sister can convince my mom to do it with me. She said we will see. Auditions are in April so plenty of time to try to convince. I would love to be in a musical with my mom so much.
Just a thought about costuming. Benedictine nuns wear black stockings. Maria was a Benedictine Postulant. No legs showing with nylons. The veils needed to be adjusted. No hair showing except for the Postulants, as Maria was, with a small bit of hair showing in the front.
