Well it's obvious That those three are their main influence they really don't have to point it out😂 because every Royal blood song you go to BOOM MUSE BOOM QUEENS OF THE STONEAGE BOOM WHITE STRIPES ya knooww
@@dillypatreagan2039 mmm no it's because it's obvious that muse influenced them they really don't need to say they have said multiple times but it's influenced sticks out like a sore thumb 😂
I love when rock or indie artists like genres like pop or hip hop because I know that the "everything that is not guitar music sucks and its fake and bla bla bla" fans get so butthurt lol
I think people who set their mind like that don't really appreciate music and only appreciate a genre specifically the one they fixate with the most. Certain genres of music originate from other genres so it's kind of stupid to only have your mind set to think everything else is shit except whatever genre.
Yeah I've been passionate about rock my whole life, yet techno is another big passion of mine, for completely different reasons. But I often find my guitar playing style is influenced by the whole "same melody developed gradually" vibe of techno, which I guess is cool
What a shame, they write great songs but my god they come across as boring :'D I would not want to sit and have a pint with these two. It'd be so awkward
I think the reason these two come across a bit boring is because they're not wanting to go all technical on it so they just say "oh this album influenced my drum stuff". They totally should tho.
Sometimes you love an album so much you want to own it in a grand, expensive, cool looking and impressive way. It's a nice little sense of connection. Though, to be fair, I prefer to buy CDs most of the time due to the audio fidelity. My record player is not ideal.
...Like Clockwork is one of my favourites too! Such a great album
mapofyourhead99 like Clockwork grow so much for me over the years
mapofyourhead99 could anybody tell me all the albuns? I'm not a English native and it was hard to identify all of the albuns. Thanks in advance guys.
i like it and villains lol, they flow well into one another i think
...like clockwork is probably my favorite album of all time, it takes me back and it's so amazing
QOTSA, Muse and White Stripes are their main influences, that's clear from their sound, but interesting to see these others!
Well it's obvious That those three are their main influence they really don't have to point it out😂 because every Royal blood song you go to BOOM MUSE BOOM QUEENS OF THE STONEAGE BOOM WHITE STRIPES ya knooww
Where did the Glass Animals record go?!?! We all saw it...
ikr
Thats what I though
Ryan Buckenham I reckon he just bought it for himself.
too bad we didn't get to see all their picks, for example i would've loved to hear Ben talk about the glass animals record
I'm more than a bit surprised that there's no Muse in here...
Same!!
It’s the same thing with Greta van fleet and zepplin no one ever tells.
Low hanging fruit mate I think everyone knows how much muse has influenced them. They have said it in tonnes of interviews
Because muse is shit
@@dillypatreagan2039 mmm no it's because it's obvious that muse influenced them they really don't need to say they have said multiple times but it's influenced sticks out like a sore thumb 😂
All of this is so clear on the new album. And what an album it is. Great to see where all the influences come from.
nice to know one of my favourite bands and me have similar inspirations
Good to see Queens mentioned. The main influence i can hear in their stuff
i think its kind of funny how you can tell they just want to get this over with from their enthusiasm and body language lmfaooo love these guys
there last selections were spot on!!
4:20 cheese creeping
All of a sudden I admire royal blood a lot....
Those are my favorite boys.

Doesn't get me mad. Yes, people can have shit taste in certain genres. Big deal.
Sando u mad?
isn't this just a copy of ameoba's whats in my bag?
my thoughts exactly
Keeping it original since never - NME
Stan Chick yes but what's in my bag is actually good
i got so excited when i saw the glass animals album but them they cut it out :/
That’s sophisticated taste.
Happy he picked t rex, I love them and you dont always hear about them so it was so cool to see that
He absolutely has created a new style of playing
omg, u guys sound like QOTSA, i can really hear the influence
Have Electric Warrior on vinyl ❤
1:12 Wild Beasts sighting. Respect.
1:12 we all see the sticky fingers Mike Kerr..
I think i saw there "Wild Beasts'" album "Boy King".
...Like Clockwork was the first album I got on vinyl
I kinda wondered that there was no White Stripes or Muse
Because they own those records and its to obvious to say lol
I would like to hear their thoughts on Lift Yr. Skinny Fists or GY!BE as a whole.
Does Mike think Hendrix was a bassist? I want to believe it's some sort of dry humor, but they don't seem to be in a joking mood this interview.
TedO21 Hendrix played bass as well as guitar, though obviously more known for guitar.
Mike started on guitar
Huh, no White stripes
PeaceAndCarrots or Muse
They already own all of those records
Yeah, cause they dont listen to a Duo with a shitty drummer. If you even could have called her a drummer.
Markus V. Wow. Yet they made better songs then you could could ever dream of making
Ikr!? Lol
LIKE CLOCKWORK !!!!!!!!!!
He's lost so much weight haha
Yesss Mike Had a bit of a chubby face when they first started:D
omg, i love T Rex too mate
Where is glass animals dudeee
The new album is out on my last day of school, nice
Hi this is Royal Blood and this Whats in my bag...
Looks like he's wearing eyeliner
Strafer66 those are just some bitchin eyelashes mate
Love when they whip out the black sabbath; “they’re the best” damn right
I love their music so much but they are pretty dull when being interviewed
He is a bit like Marc Bolan!
Fuck yeah, Daft Punk.
Did he say jungstaposition?
Josh Johnson juxtaposition*
arc angel I don't think he said that haha
Josh Johnson I think it's just his accent that makes it sound weird
He did.
dafuq is that room
their picks are pretty basic
Mmm nahh not. Everyone knows Glass animals or queens of the stoneage
Is mike kerr gay?
Jon D he was dating Charli XCX for a while
What a shame, they write great songs but my god they come across as boring :'D I would not want to sit and have a pint with these two. It'd be so awkward

EnglishFlyingMan in other interviews they are really funny guys so I think the set up was a bit awkward here
they seem cool
That speaks volumes of what a gigantic bore you are, and clearly not a musician.
Who gives a shit? the music is awesome
Vinyl died out when they brought out cd's. They do know about them, don't they?
they still make Vinyl records though
the22game why???
Vinyl is for people who know what they're talking about, you stick with your little CDs bozo
DeadLifeBoat100 I don't own a single cd
Sometimes you love an album so much you want to own it in a grand, expensive, cool looking and impressive way. It's a nice little sense of connection. Though, to be fair, I prefer to buy CDs most of the time due to the audio fidelity. My record player is not ideal.
Rip off 'What's In My Bag' with one of the most anodyne dull rock bands in a while = NME.
u wot m8? Royal Blood is pretty good
rocker4577 they're a good band but just seem bored during interviews
