Dota 2 is a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) video game in which two teams of five players compete to destroy a large structure defended by the opposing team known as the "Ancient" whilst defending their own. As in Defense of the Ancients, the game is controlled using standard real-time strategy controls, and is presented on a single map in a three-dimensional isometric perspective. Ten players each control one of the game's 124 playable characters, known as "heroes", with each having their own design, strengths, and weaknesses. Heroes are divided into two primary roles, known as the core and support.

The one we know as the Elder Titan was a great innovator, one who studied at the forge of creation. In honing his skills, he shattered something that could never be repaired, only thrown aside. He fell into his own broken world, a shattered soul himself. There he dwelt among the jagged shards and fissured planes, along with other lost fragments that had sifted down through the cracks in the early universe. And this is why the world we know resembles an isle of castaways, survivors of a wreck now long forgotten. Forgotten, that is, by all but the One who blames himself. He spends his time forever seeking a way to accomplish the repairs, that he might rejoin the parts of his broken soul, that we and the world alike might all be mended. This is the One we know as Elder Titan.

I remember one of WoDota weekly videos had him TP back to base and then the spirit went to the opposite direction, securing the kill

In the first clip they had 5 levels gap
It's really a very basic mechanic noticed shortly after the global patch with the gates. If playing ET as a support, you can always teleport your spirit to the enemy's opposite lane once creeps have met there to touch two heroes + some creeps and return your spirit making it travel across the entire map, possibly hitting the midlane and your lane as well. If you're lucky enough, you can outtrade or kill anyone on your lane at lvl 1
As an ET main this was really fun while it lasted. They nerfed it by making the gates cost mana to use now. You can still make your spirit use gate for no extra mana cost, but by the time the spirit finishes teleporting you've only got like 5 seconds to touch 2 heroes so the enemy has to be under their t1 to do it this way reliably. You can still do it, but it's not nearly as abusable. When it cost no mana you could just waygate yourself and walk to edge of enemy lane, cast spirit, and have a 100% guarantee for spirit to touch 2 heroes + a creep wave and a neutral camp while your hero gates back to other side of map and adjust self to get even more during the return. It was busted, but really fun XD

And this is why I have never, EVER underestimated this hero. He doesn't NEED to buy damage, he makes his own!
As grandmaster ET spammer myself. People still to this day underestimate him.
Solid in 3/4/5 position. Especially as the games go later. His ult does a disgusting amount of damage.
Having a pos 4/5 scale into core items is also insane.
If you play him as a 3. You need a strong 4. Something with a reliable stun.
WD. Shaman. Ogre etc. Treeant is also strong because of his heals.
10/10 best hero in dota imho.
not really the best, my main hero is brewmaster and i almost always destroy elder , wish he was picked more often
i tried the hero like months back now i am lvl30 xD over all fun hero to play and it improves ur micro
@@andreic8786 I spam Elder Titan as much as I do Brewmaster and I haven't come across any Brewmaster players who can handle a farmed ET. The ones who do are the ones who are using Refresher Orb to split push and rat. Which is what I like about Brew. So if my team are dogshit at controlling Brew that plays like that, then yeah the game is incredibly hard.
Lately I prefer playing Brew cause man, his lvl 15 talent and when he hits lvl 20. He is just an absolute menace.
@@h.a.z6604 Yeah, very fun hero to play. Best it juking and the stomp TP plays. People forget they can get slept for so long. Only thing that pisses me off is that even in my avg 9k games. Teammates don't understand how his sleep works. They always wake the enemy and ruin the earth splitter combo.
@@stphnwlkr i feel you. lately i started playing a little ET and it is fun but same problem as bane, my guys interrupt the sleep and fuck up the ulti. but as far as brew vs ET goes, there's nothing ET can do 1v1, but ofc it depends in a 5v5 on the other heroes and team comps. the build on brew can be anything so i can get any items to counter him. radi, blink, this patch sange and its upgrades...ET has a hard life man
ET is probably one of the very few hero that really dont want to equip any skill changing sets....
Because his spirit’s almost translucent color make everyone always miss it during the middle of a war.. Using an immortal item will probaly make the spirit more stands out because of the added customization effect, thus increase the awareness of the enemy....
Agreed, i used immortal bounty hunter everyone keep distance when got tracked
Use basic one just a little player realise that track
there are no immortal items that change the appearance of his spirit, they only change his ult and echo stomp
@@megawl2086 I hope they keep it that way. One of the immortal makes his first skill glowing, when channeling.. And that makes the channeling spirit more noticeable

aghanim shard does that but you need to toggle the alternative spell for that, just right-click it if you have shard

The spirit needs to walk over many units (enemy heroes are better, but jungle and enemy creeps work) and when he returns you get a lot of extra damage for a short time. You can also ignore that and only play to send the spirit at people and Q to put them to sleep, but that's more like a support.
The title should be “when elder titan is on enemy team”

I used to be the best elder titan main but over the years I forgot how to control him properly and so dumb when I play using him right now I mainly play him for support , Double stun is his best asset back then, but the patch through the years gave me reason to drop him because I dislike his gameplay
I wish my grandmasters would play the same way.

That high physical damage is not consistent, he need to gather it from the spirit first. Maybe counterable by team positioning
its mainly his Passive that does all the work. basically it removes the original heroes magic and physical resist. but it can be countered
No, that physical damage comes from his spirit and the dude has no range. You can kite him for days.
